Among all the superheroes and super villains in the Marvel Universe, there stand the silent killers that really set the rules for blind-eye fighting tactics. It's the assassins behind the scenes that not only make their foes fearful of the shadows, but also leery of an unforeseen attack.

Although they aren't loud and proud, they are some of the deadliest in the entire Marvel world. From spies in the Assassin's Guild to S.H.I.E.L.D to various other teams, this is the list of the most deadly female assassins.

10 Emma Steed

Emma Steed starts off our list as one of the most deadly in the MCU. She was trained to become the Black Queen of the Hellfire Club. She started off as a spy seeking the betterment of London until she was chosen to fight off a powerful demon lurking beneath the city where she became slightly evil.

By having harnessed the demon's power, she became much more than just an assassin but a disciple of the underworld.

9 Spider-Woman

Spider-Woman's (Jessica Drew) backstory is much darker than the common Marvel fan may know. She started out in her upbringing training with the group HYDRA believing that they were a force for good. However, she was blinded by the fact that they were in fact extremely evil and using her to carry out villainous assassinations.

Her dark side is not her fault but because she was brought up not knowing so much of her identity and who she was. She is considered to be one of the deadliest assassins. Currently she uses her assassin skills for good (or not at all) because of her mistrust in what she's capable of doing.

8 Domino

Domino has the power to subconsciously foresee future events in their entirety making her secret weapon "luck." She's a mutant that has highly skilled fighting tactics and an expert in tracking destructively powerful super villains.

Overall, it's her handy abilities for luck that drive this assassin's skills on the battlefield into the top ten assassin list.

7 Gamora

Gamora attacks Captain Marvel in Marvel Comics' Civil War II

Gamora is one of the more notorious assassin's on this list having grown a name for herself with her involvement with the popular super villain Thanos. She's his adopted daughter and as she grew older, she began to realize what Thanos really is and what he did to her kind.

As a result, Gamora grew up with disdain for his morals and a general hatred towards humanity. Thankfully she uses her assassin skills for the betterment of the Universe, but this cybernetic ally-charged hero has a shifty attitude.

6 Black Widow

Black Widow Assassin

Black Widow is an obvious pick for one of the deadliest assassin's in the MCU. Besides Hawkeye, she's the only member in the Avenger's that doesn't have any supernatural abilities. For her to become an Avenger solely off of her KGB training really proves how powerful she really is.

She was trained solely for the purpose of becoming an assassin and along the way grew accustomed to her own morals and thoughts of good and evil. She isn't totally innately good and has flaws which means she can be an extremely dangerous loose-cannon.

5 Felicia Hardy

Felicia Hardy (Black Cat) gained her powers through the Kingpin. She's a dangerous double-agent that has an exceedingly dark backstory filled with nuances of betrayal. This sly villain-hero plays both sides. Although she tends to be trustworthy for the forces of good, she also feeds people what they want to hear.

Through abilities such as Tychokinesis and using her claws as weapons, she's  is an assassin nobody wants to mess with.

4 Belladonna Boudreaux

Belladonna Boudreaux is the leader of the Assassin's Guild and has powers that range from hand-to-hand combat to magical abilities. She's one of the few assassins on this list that has supernatural powers and as a result is highly dangerous.

She has harnessed powers through the Assassin's Guild such as Astral Projection, Plasma Blasts, and Candra's external level telekinesis.

3 X-23

X-23 Space feature

X-23 is the cloned daughter of Wolverine that was created in The Facility solely for the purpose of killing. She was robbed of a normal girl's childhood and brought into the world in a lab and was tortured through her entire upbringing.

Not only does X-23 have hatred bursting out the seams with a lack of faith in humanity, she also harbors some of Wolverine's abilities. Whether it's her claws that come out of her hands/feet or her utmost hatred towards the general population, she's one of the deadliest female assassins in the Marvel Universe.

2 Psylocke

Elizabeth "Betsy" Braddock is ranked as the second most powerful female assassin on the list due to her training from Jean Grey (X-Men.) She's a mutant that unlocked her full potential through Jean Grey with abilities such as telepathic powers. She's known as an Omega-Level Mutant which makes her one of the most powerful.

She has a practiced hand with all types of weaponry. That mixed with her telepathic powers means she is a force to be reckoned with on all fronts.

1 Elektra

The deadliest female assassin in the entire Marvel Universe is Elektra. Unfortunately, she had an extremely traumatic childhood filled with abuse that prompted her to train herself so it could never happen again. She started off as an assassin for The Hand where she trained in becoming an expert in death.

She became so closely in touch with death that she's been able to cheat it several times by coming back from the grave.
