Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order and its robust roster gives gamers a daunting task. Grinding out Marvel 52 characters to the max level can be tedious -- but there are ways to get there quickly and easily.

Before grinding out that XP, it is best to complete the story mode on "Mighty" difficulty. Players should begin by selecting a team and sticking to it. Early levels will fly by when holding with the same team for the game’s story. This team can have any characters, but it's recommend that players include at least one member who can quickly clear a crowd of enemies. Spider-Man or Ms. Marvel are great options, since they are unlocked early in the campaign.

After the first story completion in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3, increase the difficulty to "Superior." Continue through the campaign until Asgard. Behind the giant statue of Odin, there will be an item crate. Break that crate and receive a blue ISO-8 that increases XP gains by up to 100 percent. Equip that ISO-8 on the crowd control character.

Once players have picked up this single ISO-8, they should head over to Infinity challenges and select a Wave challenge. Choose an unlocked Wave with the highest number of enemies, then farm those enemies for more ISO-8 to increase XP gains -- specifically, blue, white and rainbow ISO-8 are the only colors that offer increased XP gains, so go for those. Item drops rely on RNG, but players can improve the odds by equipping ISO-8 that increases the drop rates on those colors. Players should continue searching for ISO-8 until they have enough of them to give all four team members increased XP.

While farming for ISO-8, players will also receive random drops of XP cubes. Use them on characters to help with their level gains, because there is no reason to save the XP cubes.

Once the team gets more XP, move on to a Rush challenge. These timed challenges will ask players to defeat some enemies within a time limit. The villains in Rush are generally higher-tier enemies and will give more XP than the lower-tier ones. Characters can gain 2-4 levels when the Rush challenge level is close to their level. Gamma Rush level 24 is a great place to start.

As a hero’s level increases in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3, their XP increase will begin to slow down. This slow down is normal, but players will have to go to higher Rush levels.

Currently, the highest-level Rush is the Colossal Conflict level 63 Rush. It requires players to eliminate 50 enemies and defeat Colossus. This rift will unlock upon completion of the Xavier Mansion chapter of the story. It is a great place to farm XP, but if players do not defeat Colossus, they will fail the challenge and lose all the XP they gained. An alternative rift is the Wakandan level 61 Rush. This one is relatively straightforward and only asks players to defeat 50 enemies. Without having to worry about beating a specific boss, it makes the rift challenge a little easier.

Farm either of these challenges with a team stacked with increased XP ISO-8 and watch levels snowball. Using crowd control characters will make these rift challenges extremely easy to complete.

Remember to check the inventory when ISO-8 is full to look for better versions. The best ones will increase XP up to 100 percent once upgraded to a +5 AA ISO-8. Sifting through ISO-8 can make the leveling process a little faster and a little bit easier, which will allow Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 players to hit max level as efficiently as possible.
