Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order is about to get even bigger thanks to a new DLC expansion.
At The Game Awards 2019, Nintendo unveiled a trailer for the popular beat-em-up game aptly titled "Rise of the Phoenix" that showcases four X-Men who're joining the fray: Cable, Phoenix, Gambit and Iceman. Additionally, the DLC includes new Gauntlet missions and the competitive Danger Room Mode.
From Jean Grey unleashing the full power of the Phoenix Force to Gambit battling The Hand ninjas on the rooftops of New York City, the four additions to the already-extensive playable roster look to play an explosive role in the proceedings.
"Rise of the Phoenix" is the second full expansion to Ultimate Alliance 3, with an earlier DLC making three separate teams available to players that weren't part of the game's initial roster. The game has also seen free updates adding alternate character skins to further customize the roster of fan-favorite heroes and villains.
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order is available now for the Nintendo Switch. The "Rise of the Phoenix" DLC expansion goes on sale Dec. 23 through the Nintendo eShop.
