Since being announced in July, there has been little information about Marvel's upcoming Ghost Rider series. Now, a new trailer for the upcoming series provides new insight into what the book will be about.
The trailer premiered through Marvel's Twitter. The post states, "It's getting hot in here. Ghost Rider returns in a new #1 helmed by [Ed Brisson] and [Aaron Kuder], coming October 2!"
In the trailer, Brisson talks about the plot and the dynamic between original Ghost Rider Johnny Blaze and Danny Ketch. He says, "One thing we're really diving into is what this really means to their lives. How much Danny has suffered from being the Ghost Rider, what it's cost him."
"At the very opening of the first issue, Danny's at his mother's funeral," he continued. "He's lost his mother, his last connection to the human world. He's got no one. He's left alone, except for the Ghost Rider, who he hates."
Brisson adds, "We're going to catch readers up real fast. So, anybody who's into Ghost Rider mythology, we're doing it in a way that does not disregard any Ghost Rider history, but instead builds on it in a way that I think is very exciting."
Editor-in-Chief C.B. Cebulski assured fans the series would be accessible, saying, "Like all new series that Marvel launches, Ghost Rider #1 is gonna start its start. You don't have to know anything about the character to pick up this book and enjoy it."
Ghost Rider #1, by Ed Brisson and Aaron Kuder, goes on sale on October 2.
