The Kree count among the most popular alien races in Marvel Comics and for good reason. They're powerful, plenty and more than anything else, they're complicated. From the beginning, the Kree have been good, bad and everything in between, a tradition that continues in the MCU as well.

A few notable Kree have shown up already in the movies, but there are many more. Who are the most powerful Kree? Why are so many of them related? Without further delay and with some of these questions answered, here are the 10 most powerful Kree warriors, ranked according to strength.

10 Ultragirl

Ultragirl debuted in the '90s with a lot of attitude and a little bit of mystery. Was she a mutant? Or was she an alien? The answer came super quick: She was half-Kree, and her real name was Tsu-Zana.

Physically, Ultragirl looked like any normal American teenage girl, but she possessed many of the natural attributes of the Kree: super strength, durability, and agility. However, she was a little bit ahead of the average Kree since she could fly. And she could see auras. It was the '90s. Everyone could see someone's aura.

9 Kree Captain America

This is one of the more interesting members of this select group. Kree Captain America is from an alternate reality, Earth-99315 to be precise, but he's still a Kree. Going back to that idea that the Kree were sometimes bad - they were bad on Earth-99315. Very bad.

The Kree conquered the Earth and to rub humanity's nose in it, they impersonated several of Earth's mightiest heroes, like the Avengers. This blue-skinned version of Steve Rogers is thought to have not only Kree strength and stamina, but all the abilities of Captain America as well.

8 Minn-Erva

Minn-Erva debuted in 1977, hunting down the first Captain Marvel, Mar-Vell. Her goal was to hop into the sack with him to advance the Kree race. Hey, everyone has to have goals! In any case, Minn-Erva was pretty powerful.  Not Mar-Vell powerful, but she wasn't a slouch.

With superhuman strength, the ability to fly and a keen intellect, she was a challenge for anybody. In the Captain Marvel film, Minn-Erva was the squad's sniper but in the comics, she was an accomplished scientist.

7 Hulkling

Hulkling is unique in that he is half-Kree and half-Skrull. Being the scion of two warring races has led to a complicated life, but as also primed him for becoming emperor of the newly unified Kree-Skrull Empire. Or Empyre. Hulking has all the benefits of both races, making him very powerful.

Like the Kree, Hulkling is strong, fast and durable. Like the Skrulls, he can shapeshift. He can also fly and heal super quick. As the son of Mar-Vell, he may also be the inheritor of other powers we haven't seen, a trait he shares with a few other people on this list. Speaking of Mar-Vell...

6 Genis-Vell

When Mar-Vell died, it left a hole in everyone's heart, especially in that of the woman who loved him. Elysius did what any sane, rational grieving person would do: She sampled some of her dead lover's DNA, cloned it, and then took the resulting child as far as away as she could to raise him in isolation. That sure worked out great!

The 'dark' Captain Marvel was supremely powerful and crazy beyond belief. In addition to his natural Kree attributes, he could absorb and manipulate stellar energy which augmented his powers so much he could fly faster than the speed of light.

5 Phyla-Vell

Genis-Vell's sister, Phyla-Vell, was created in the same not recommended fashion by Elysius as her brother, but she had a much better temperament. Phyla-Vell also possessed the unimaginable power of Mar-Vell and helped fight Genis-Vell to stop him from using his powers for evil.

She also tried to take the title of Captain Marvel from him, but he wouldn't relinquish it. Phyla eventually went on to become Quasar, gaining another level of powers, which at various times have included manipulation of energy in the Negative Zone.

4 Ronan the Destroyer

Ronan the Accuser is a fairly average Kree; he's really strong, durable and resistant to all kinds of toxins. But on top of all of those, he wears a suit of armor that makes him extra powerful.

In the armor, Ronan can become invisible, shoot energy blasts and freeze people into suspended animation. And as if that weren't enough, he carries around a hammer that makes him scary powerful: the Universal Weapon manipulates matter, energy and time. But unlike a certain hammer wielded by an Asgardian Avenger, anyone can lift Ronan's hammer. At least there's that limit.

3 Supreme Intelligence

Marvel's Kree Supreme Intelligence

While not strictly a Kree, the Supreme Intelligence is an artificial intelligence informed by millions of the greatest Kree minds. In that regard, this scary-powerful computer is one of the most powerful Kree to have ever existed and another reason why people want to know more about them.

Telepathic, telekinetic, pre and post cognitive, Supremor is more than just a computer program. Using astral projection, it can be pretty much anywhere in the galaxy, which can get awkward. After the Supreme Intelligence bonded with the Cosmic Cube it was tasked with creating, it also achieved the ability to control the reality around it.

2 Mar-Vell

The original Captain Marvel remains one of the most popular heroes in the Marvel pantheon. He was a true cosmic warrior, fighting for truth and justice anywhere in the galaxy. He was also enormously powerful, which made his death all the more shocking.

His powers were later echoed in his clones and children, but he possessed powers they didn't inherit. Some of these powers include: he could cast illusions and teleport, just two of the seemingly infinite abilities at his disposal.

1 Captain Marvel

Carol Danvers is perhaps the most powerful person to possess the mantle of Captain Marvel (though there's always some debate about that). Genetically altered into being part Kree by the Psyche-Magnitron, he possesses all of Mar-Vell's powerset, in addition to those she achieved while Ms. Marvel and Binary.

Her powers are too many to list, and may not even be completely known to her, but to put it in perspective: Carol can manipulate matter on a molecular level, absorb, manipulate and construct energy and feed off it to sustain herself. Also, she doesn't bruise easy and she doesn't age. And that's just the tip of the iceberg!
