Marvel's new "Venom" series has kicked off and it's given fans an all-new lethal protector. The Queens-born ex-Army Ranger Lee Price has taken on the symbiote and become the new Venom -- just in time for a potentially massive event. As teased by an insert in the "Inhumans vs. X-Men" 2017 calendar that Marvel sent to retailers (and shared by ComicBook.com), May 2017's issue of "Venom" will be numbered #150, a number taking into account all of the previous issues of "Venom" published across previous volumes.

The promo art, illustrated by Adam Kubert and colored by Dean White, touts the issue as the "biggest Venom story in ten years!" The teaser art features Venom carrying Spider-Man -- one wearing a classic version of his costume -- in his arms up a building.

The already-solicited "Venom" #4, which will arrive one month prior in April 2017, teased that the former Venom Mac Gargan will make a raucous appearance in the series. Now Gargan's back to being the Scorpion after serving as Venom for a lengthy stretch in the '00s. The issue will also feature another guest star, one the solicit copy calls "web-slinging, wall-crawling" and "spider-sense-ational." Could that be Spider-Man himself, or possibly the first Venom, Eddie Brock?

In a previous interview with Newsarama, "Venom" editor Devin Lewis hinted at a big anniversary issue and Eddie Brock's possible involvement. "I can say we do have plans for Eddie Brock. I can’t say what they are, but stay tuned," Lewis said back in November. "In terms of other editorial goals, if readers look closely, there’s an anniversary of some kind coming up and it’s kind of a momentous occasion."

"Venom" #150 arrives in May 2017.
