A new report suggests Thanos' brother, Starfox, could have a part to play in the Marvel Cinematic Universe down the line.
According to MCU Cosmic, Starfox, AKA Eros of Titan is being queued up for "a future MCU project." Although the site didn't go into detail of where or when fans could expect to see Starfox, it reminded everyone that early casting breakdowns for The Eternals seemed to include Eros. It's purely speculation, but the site also pointed out a number of cosmic projects like Captain Marvel 2 and the rumored Secret Invasion TV series on the horizon as potential places to introduce the character.
Starfox was first introduced in 1973's Iron Man #55 and didn't have the same villainous tendencies as his brother. As part of the Titan-born Eternals, Eros' powers include superhuman strength, flight and the ability to psychically control other people's emotions. Starfox is often portrayed as a hero and has had major storylines with his brother, She-Hulk and Captain Mar-Vell, as well as being part of the Avengers. In the comics, Thanos' death in Infinity Wars even caused Starfox to form the team known as the Dark Guardians. With Starfox having worked with so many characters, his introduction could mean big things for the cosmic branch of the MCU.
While there are persistent rumors Young Thanos could appear in The Eternals, he might not be the only member of the Mad Titan's complicated family tree to continue making a mark on the MCU. It's important to remember Thanos' family has already been hinted at in the MCU. As well as Red Skull greeting Thanos as "Son of A'Lars" in Avengers: Infinity War, concept art from Ryan Lang showed a family flashback was once considered for the 2018 movie or Endgame.
Unlike the Earth-born Eternals that are set to be featured in Chloé Zhao's movies, the Titanian Eternals, like Thanos and Eros, are usually depicted as slightly weaker. Kevin Feige previously hyped the size of The Eternals, meaning Eros could have a role similar to his brother in The Avengers, however, there's currently no sign of anyone in the cast matching his description. Up there with talks of Nova's long-awaited arrival, the idea of resurrecting plans for Starfox appearing in the MCU could be huge news for the ever-expanding galaxy of heroes and villains.
