Werewolf by Night will not be the last Marvel Cinematic Universe project classified as A Marvel Studios Special Presentation.

Marvel Studios is reportedly developing more one-off MCU specials in the vein of Werewolf by Night. While it is currently unknown which characters might receive a special, Cosmic Circus has stated that "some of the titles that have been discussed by various trades and outlets in the past as Disney+ shows are actually being looked into for special presentations." So far, the only confirmed MCU special besides Werewolf by Night is James Gunn's The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, which stars the cast of the Guardians of the Galaxy films and will lead directly into the upcoming third film.

Three upcoming Disney+ series that have been reported to be in the works but have not been officially announced by Marvel Studios are Wonder Man, Nova and an untitled Wakanda series that will serve as an origin story for Danai Gurira's Okoya, the head of the Dora Milaje. Other series that have been rumored include a live-action series starring What If...?'s Captain Carter and a Ten Rings series with Meng'er Zhang's Xialing set as the series lead. There is no word yet on which, if any, of these unconfirmed series could be redeveloped for A Marvel Studios Special Presentation.

Marvel Has Redeveloped Projects in the Past

Marvel Studios has shown a tendency to redevelop projects that were originally announced in a different medium. The 2021 Disney+ series Hawkeye was originally envisioned as a film before Marvel redeveloped the property as a limited series. Armor Wars was announced as a six-episode limited series, but was recently reworked into a feature film, with Don Cheadle still on board to reprise his long-running MCU role as James Rhodes/War Machine. The upcoming film will adapt the 1987 Iron Man comic book arc which focused on Iron Man discovering that his armor technology had fallen into the wrong hands and was being used by villains for their own nefarious purposes.

Marvel Studios' Special Presentations will launch on October 7 with Werewolf by Night. The horror special will, according to the official synopsis, follow a secret cabal of monster hunters who "emerge from the shadows and gather at the foreboding Bloodstone Temple following the death of their leader. In a strange and macabre memorial to the leader's life, the attendees are thrust into a mysterious and deadly competition for a powerful relic—a hunt that will ultimately bring them face to face with a dangerous monster."
