As for what the creator might be working on with Marvel, given Alexander's background in animation with Onyx Equinox, something along the lines of Marvel's What If...? animated anthology series may be what's in store. With What If...?'s first season nearing its end, as the sixth of nine Season 1 episodes recently aired, it's possible Alexander could be involved in the show's upcoming second season or perhaps a different animated project altogether.

Onyx Equinox is an adult-oriented fantasy anime inspired by the Aztec, Maya and Zapotec deities of mesoamerican mythology. The show centers around a boy who must judge humanity's fate after being chosen by the gods. Produced by Crunchyroll Studios, the show deals with mature themes while also providing a look into an underrepresented culture. In fact, Alexander has spoken about how the variety of storytelling in anime was one of the main aspects that drew her to the art form.

All 12 episodes of Onyx Equinox's first complete season can currently be streamed on Crunchyroll.
