According to Marvel Studios President and Marvel Entertainment Chief Creative Officer Kevin Feige, San Diego Comic-Con 2022 was just the beginning when it comes to Marvel Cinematic Universe announcements.

In a YouTube video released by the Marvel channel as part of its "On The Floor @ SDCC 2022" series, Feige hinted that there is more in store for fans to be excited about. "There's so much more to discuss and so much more to unveil, and we didn't want to talk about everything today," he said.

Though there may be "so much more" to reveal, Marvel Studios made a splash in Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con with the announcement of MCU titles extending all the way to the release of Avengers: Secret Wars in November 2025. One notable announcement revealed that Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings director Daniel Destin Cretton would again be in the director's chair for Avengers: Kang Dynasty, set to premiere on May 2, 2025.

The sixth Avengers title is still searching for a director, however. The Russo Brothers previously expressed interest in pursuing a Secret Wars storyline, despite having recently been ruled out as a possible directing choice. "The one series that we adored growing up was Secret Wars," Joe Russo commented. "It's incredibly ambitious -- it would be bigger than Infinity War and Endgame."

Feige did not reveal much about the upcoming Deadpool 3, only expressing his excitement at its transfer from Fox to Disney and that he is hopeful for its "elevation" in its Marvel threequel treatment. "How do we elevate it in the way we’ve been able to with Civil War, and Infinity War and Ragnarok?" Feige commented. "It's very fun to be in the world of the Ryan Reynolds Show." Despite some fans' worries that the merc with a mouth would be dulled in his first Disney appearance, Deadpool writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick assured that this would not be the case, with the film confirmed to be the MCU's first R-rated release.

The timeline for Phases 5 and 6 promises an exciting lineup of films and series, with the trailer drop for the upcoming Black Panther: Wakanda Forever making an impact with audiences. Wakanda Forever will be the next-released MCU film, set to debut in theaters Nov. 11. Marvel's closest approaching series, I Am Groot, will be available to stream Disney+ starting Aug. 10.
