Secret Warriors joins a long list of projects that are reportedly in development at Marvel Studios.

According to GWWSecret Warriors is in the early stages of development, with Marvel Studios currently in search of a writer for the project. There is also no word on whether Secret Warriors will be a feature film or a television series.

The first comic book iteration of the Secret Warriors was formed by former S.H.I.E.L.D. director Nick Fury and featured the offspring of various superheroes and villains. The team was meant to be Fury's secret weapon against the evils that threaten the Marvel Universe. The first team consisted of Quake, Phobos, Yo Yo Rodriguez, Hellfire, Sebastian Druid and Stonewall, with the first comic run coming in 2009. A second team formed in 2017 and featured Inhumans Quake, Ms. Marvel, Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, Inferno and Karnak, with X-Men member Magik joining near the end of the run.

Disney released a Marvel’s Rising: Secret Warriors animated film in 2018, which exists in the Marvel Rising animated universe and added Captain Marvel, America Chavez, Ghost-Spider, Squirrel Girl and Patriot. Agents of SHIELD also had a version of the Secret Warriors during its third season.
