Marvel Studios announced its Phase 4 slate in Hall H at Comic Con International on Saturday, but the studio already knows what Phase 5 will have in store for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

While Feige teased a stunning eleven projects -- including films and Disney+ series -- for the next two years, he revealed the team at Marvel already knows what comes next. In an interview with MTV News following the Comic-Con presentation, Feige talked about the lack of an Avengers team and confirmed that when we do get a new crossover film, it will feature a much different line-up than we've come to know. Moreover, he confirmed Phase 4 will begin to plant the seeds for this eventual crossover.

"We debated what we should announce today," Feige said. "Should we announce 4 and 5? We've planned them out, we've got five years down the road and I was like, I think eleven projects in two years is plenty. Having not mentioned anything for two or three years."

And while Feige wouldn't hint at what the next crossover event will be, he did reaffirm that, yes, Phase 4 will lead to something. "Well, it's what I love about the Marvel comic method of storytelling. That's not anything we invented; I love that things build up, they build to a crescendo, they all get together, they separate, they change. And now that we get to do that not just in movies but on these mega event series on Disney+... just have invigorated all of us at Marvel Studios to, to keep going."

Although Marvel Studios announced made numerous headlines with its SDCC presentation, it's expected Kevin Feige will also have some news to share when Marvel hits D23 next month. Perhaps we'll get some teases for Phase 5? We'll just have to wait and see!
