The worlds of the CBS sitcom How I Met Your Mother and the Marvel Cinematic Universe have collided, thanks to Marvel Studios concept artist Andy Park.

Park posted an illustration recently depicting the HIMYM cast posing as various Marvel superheroes, as seen on his Instagram page.

Josh Randor's Ted Mosby and Cobie Smulders' Robin Scherbatsky are depicted as X-Men's Wolverine and Dazzler respectively. Allyson Hannigan and Jason Segel's Lily Aldrin and Marshall Eriksen are drawn as Black Widow and the Hulk. Neil Patrick Harris' Barney Stinson is shown wearing a vest and cape over his trademark suit, seemingly as Thor.

Park noted that he gave the drawing to the cast as a gift, as he was an extra on HIMYM's final season. He also posted a picture of himself with the cast, as well as a brief video of his cameo.

Smulders joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2012's The Avengers, portraying S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Maria Hill. The unplanned illustration turned out to be strangely prophetic. While Hannigan and Segel's characters had been in a long-term relationship and were married in Season 2 of How I Met Your Mother, the illustration nailed the romantic relationship that would spring up between Natasha Romanoff and Bruce Banner in Avengers: Age of Ultron one year later as well.

Park is the director of visual development for Marvel Studios, providing concept art for various films including Ant-Man and the Wasp and Captain America: Civil War. He has also illustrated several comic books, including Tomb Raider for Top Cow.

Created by Carter Bays and Craig Thomas, How I Met Your Mother chronicles the life of Ted Mosby as he attempts to find his soulmate. All eight seasons are streaming now on Hulu.
