Marvel's superheroes have to deal with all kinds of threats, from run-of-the-mill criminals to superpowered villains to invading aliens. They also have to deal with different types of gods. Some of them are heroes, some of them are villains, but all of them are powerful. Among the gods are several almighty male entities, be it from Earth's mythology or new cosmic beings of astounding power.

10 Khonshu Powers Moon Knight

moon knight khonshu

Mercenary Marc Specter was dying at the foot of a statue in the likeness of the Egyptian moon god, Khonshu. As a result, Khonshu took mercy on Specter and saved him, transforming him into the Fist of Khonshu – the hero known as Moon Knight. Khonshu doesn't play as big a role in the world as other gods, but he's quite powerful.

As the Fist of Khonshu, Moon Knight does his bidding on Earth. He isn't the most powerful hero, which reflects badly on Khonshu in some ways. However, although Khonshu's power isn't as great as other gods, he's still is a force to be reckoned with.

9 Loki's Been Playing His Tricks For Millennia

What If #47 cover detail

Loki is one of Marvel's most well-known gods. He's used his powers as the God of Mischief to bedevil Marvel's heroes for years. Even before battling heroes, Loki fought his fellow Norse gods and any other beings who stood in his way. A master of magic, Loki is also amazingly strong and able to punch it out with the mightiest of heroes.

Loki has been a villain and a hero interchangeably, using his great power to entertain himself and take what he felt rightfully belonged to him. Loki's power has made him a formidable opponent for almost every foe he's come across.

8 Thor Is One Of The Earth's Greatest Heroes

A cover for Thor #19 features Thor carrying a sword unlike his usual hammer.

Thor has been battling some of the universe's greatest villains for years. Whether on his own or with his friends in the Avengers, Thor has proven how powerful he is many times over. He's battled everything the universe has thrown at him using his God of Thunder powers, titanic strength and durability, and the might of Mjolnir.

Consequently, Thor has taken his place among Earth's mightiest heroes, having protected the people of Midgard from every threat imaginable. While he doesn't win every fight, he's amazingly powerful and more than a match for most foes.

7 Korvac Was Able To Kill The Avengers

Korvac, glowing with pink energy and blue lightning flashing around him screams as he punches the ground.

Korvac isn't a mythological god but a human who gained incredible reality-bending might. Coming back to the present from the 30th century, he battled the Avengers and the first incarnation of the Guardians of the Galaxy, slaughtering both teams. The only reason they both survived is because he resurrected them.

Korvac is one of the most powerful men in the universe. While he's never reached the heights he did during his initial battle with the Avengers, he's still one of their most dangerous foes. As a result, he's taken his place among the most powerful gods and is as dangerous as they come.

6 Odin Is The Most Powerful Norse God

While gods of all Earthly pantheons exist in the Marvel Universe, the Norse gods are by far the most powerful. Of that number, Odin is the greatest. The All-Father has led Asgard for millennia: his power and skill leading the way for his people. While Odin has died on more than one occasion, he always comes back to life to fight again.

Armed with the Odin-Force, Odin is a potent enemy. He's not someone any foe would want to face in a one-on-one fight as his power and skill make him one of the most dangerous combatants in the Ten Realms.

5 Galactus Is The Ultimate Cosmic Predator

Galactus Consuming Archeopia

Galactus has existed for an untold amount of time. He witnessed the end of one universe and the beginning of another and is one of the most powerful cosmic beings. Armed with the full power of the Power Cosmic, Galactus travels the universe devouring worlds. He's one of the most feared beings ever.

At full strength, Galactus is just about unstoppable. Even at his weakest, it took the full power of the Avengers, Fantastic Four, and New York City's heroes to defeat him (and even then it was a close match). Galactus has proven to be one of the strongest beings in the universe more than once. Even fellow gods like Thor don't phase him.

4 The Celestials Are As Powerful As They Are Inscrutable

Celestials Cover - Marvel Comics

The Celestials are some of the most mysterious and powerful beings traveling the spaceways. While the argument can be made that they're beyond things like male and female, they use male bodies and names to move among the worlds of the universe, tinkering with the building blocks of life and creating beings like the Eternals to do their bidding.

The Celestials are monumentally powerful. For example, when they battled Thanos with the Infinity Gauntlet, they used planets like missiles against him. As a result, they've rarely been defeated in combat.

3 Eternity Is The Universe

Marvel Eternity and Infinity

Eternity's power is another level. While other entities are called "the most powerful beings in the universe," he is the universe. Any power the other cosmic gods have is only a reflection of Eternity's. He rarely battles anyone in a conventional sense. However, when he deigns to use his power, there are few who can stand against him.

Eternity is the physical incarnation of time, and all the possible energy of everything is contained within him. He has no equal other than his sister Infinity, who represents space.

2 The Living Tribunal Is One Of The Universe's Great Forces

the living tribunal

There are many powerful gods in the Marvel Universe. However, most of them bow to the Living Tribunal. The Living Tribunal is the judge of all things and is a being whose power is absolute. He can render the Infinity Gauntlet powerless with a few words, and all other gods must obey his edicts. He's the ultimate judge and his word is the law.

The Living Tribunal's function is to safeguard the multiverse from being imbalanced by mystical forces. The power he represents is among the greatest of all, and there is only one being more powerful than him in the entire cosmos: the One-Above-All.

1 The One Above All's Name Says It All

the one above all - Marvel Comics

The One Above All is the greatest cosmic being in Marvel Comics. He's the smartest, the most powerful, and everything that exists stems from him. As the creator of all things, he rarely (if ever) involves himself in the affairs of the beings he's created.

No being can contest his power. Even the Living Tribunal must bow to him. Even calling him "the strongest" is a vast simplification. As the ultimate source of love and good, he's the supreme ruler of the multiverse.
