Starting this March, Doctor Strange will be opening his own supernatural school to train the next generation of magic users in the upcoming comic book series Strange Academy.

Created by Skottie Young and Humberto Ramos, the new series has Strange enlist several notable magic users to help him teach at the New Orleans-based school. Fresh off the series announcement, Marvel Comics has released a preview of the inaugural issue, with Brother Voodoo welcoming the school's first class just in time to face a monstrous new threat. The cover and first pages of the issue are below.

The new series follow a young girl named Emily Bright, who has possessed powerful magical abilities since birth. Joining her at school are students from Asgard, the Dark Dimension and more, including Doyle Dormammu, the illegitimate son of the longtime Doctor Strange villain.

Judging by the preview, the new students are about to hit the ground running, with the series blending coming-of-age tropes with supernatural hijinks set within the heart of the Marvel Universe.

Strange Academy #1 is written by Skottie Young and illustrated by Humberto Ramos. The series debuts this March from Marvel Comics.
