The future of Marvel Magic is going to be decided here and it will take FAR more than the Sorcerer Supreme and his school if magic has a chance!" Preview pages revealed at SDCC for Strange Academy: Finals show Scarlet Witch speaking to Doyle Dormammu, Toth and other students when Guslaug, a Frost Giant from Jotunheim, walks in.

Strange Academy #1 debuted in 2020 from Marvel Comics. Created by Young and Ramos, the series is set in a supernatural school for youngsters created by Doctor Strange (prior to his untimely death in The Death of Doctor). Other teachers at the academy include Brother Voodoo, Magik, Scarlet Witch, the Ancient One, Hellstrom and more, all of whom are dedicated to teaching students the art of magic and mysticism. The synopsis for Strange Academy #1 reads, "

A SORCERER SCHOOL FOR THE MARVEL UNIVERSE! The Marvel Universe has mysteriously changed in such an alarming way that Doctor Strange has done what he's avoided for decades; he's opened a school for young sorcerers. Young people from around the world with aptitude in magic have been brought together in New Orleans to study the Mystic Arts under Strange, Brother Voodoo, the Ancient One, the Scarlet Witch, Magik, Hellstrom and ALL your favorite Marvel magicians. But with all the new magical threats, is it too late?!"

"What we’re really trying to do is tell those classic coming of age stories that we’ve seen in so many other properties or other projects out there in the world whether it be TV or film or novels or comics," Young said when Strange Academy was first announced. "Whether it’s kids running around mazes or kids at a magic school or people running around trying to survive a post-apocalyptic landscape.”

Strange Academy: Finals features cover art by Ramos. The first issue releases in October from Marvel Comics.
