All the plot lines that have carried Marvel's line of Star Wars comics will come to a head this December in an oversized one-shot by a whole host of superstar creative talent.

With the main Star Wars series ending with issue #75 this November, all the remaining narrative threads will be resolved in December's Star Wars: Empire Ascendant #1. Written by Charles Soule, Greg Pak, Simon Spurrier and Ethan Sacks and featuring a lineup of artistic talent including Luke Ross and Roland Boschi, the 56-page one-shot special issue sees Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa and Han Solo leading the Rebel Alliance to build a new secret headquarters on Hoth while Darth Vader continues to scour the galaxy for them. The cover to the special by Riccardo Federici is below.

After Disney acquired Lucasfilm in 2012, Marvel began publishing Star Wars comics in 2015, with the core series set in between the events of A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back, while other series explored different eras of the iconic space opera franchise. Marvel Comics has also announced special one-shot comic Star Wars Saga #1, which will recap the major events of the concluded comic book series on sale in December.

Star Wars: Empire Ascendant #1 is written by Charles Soule, Greg Pak, Simon Spurrier and Ethan Sacks, and illustrated by Luke Ross, Roland Boschi and more. It is scheduled to go on sale this December from Marvel Comics.
