When it comes to the world of Marvel Comics, fans have seen some truly epic battles between heroes and villains. Whether it is between the hero and their arch-nemesis or a group like the Avengers facing a galactic ending threat like Thanos, there are many battles that have become iconic for Marvel Comics.

Yet, no hero has managed to defeat a majority of the Marvel Universe’s most powerful threats. At least, no one except Squirrel Girl.

The quirky and humorous hero has become a staple of the Marvel Universe, so let’s take a look at the ten most powerful villains she has ever defeated.

10 Deadpool

The first person on Squirrel Girl’s list of victories is none other than Deadpool - the sometimes hero, sometimes villain, and oftentimes anti-hero who is known for his wit and humor more than his sense of justice. There are times when Deadpool is paid to do some bad things, putting him at odds with some of the Marvel Universe’s best heroes.

This happens in Cable & Deadpool #30 when the Merc with a Mouth meets Squirrel Girl in battle. The mutant mercenary with a healing factor, martial arts skills, and loads of weapons proved no match for the young hero, who clawed her way to stop Wade in his tracks.

9 Kraven The Hunter

There are many foes that Squirrel Girl has beaten over the years, but one trend tends to be that they are always the foes of other major heroes. Take this next villain, Kraven the Hunter, for instance. The longtime Spider-Man foe and the man obsessed with hunting down the perfect predator, Kraven is synonymous with the Spider-Man lore.

When Squirrel Girl began her college career in the first issue of The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl, Kraven was the first villain to cross her path. She stopped the Hunter with an army of squirrels and sent him down a new path in life entirely.

8 MODOK

Throughout her career, Squirrel Girl has always been considered too young to join the Avengers, but she has had a starring role with another team, the Great Lakes Avengers. The oddball team of heroes had Squirrel Girl on their roster for a while and she fought many foes during that period.

One such foe was MODOK and the organization A.I.M. The villain appeared in Great Lakes Avengers Special #1, and Squirrel Girl distracted MODOK while her squirrel companion Tippy Toe tore out the machine man’s wiring, shutting him down in the process.

7 Baron Mordo

Over the years, the battles of the Marvel Universe have kind of taken a life of their own. While many are too big for others not to notice, there are some that take place in faraway lands or other planets or dimensions, and the tale of the battle ends up becoming more of a story than anything else.

This happens often to Squirrel Girl, including the time she defeated the powerful sorcerer Baron Mordo. The Doctor Strange villain is a powerful magic user who travels dimensions and fights the Sorcerer Supreme at every turn, yet Mister Immortal makes mention that Squirrel Girl defeated Mordo in combat.

6 Fin Fang Foom

Due to the many exploits of Squirrel Girl, some of the more powerful foes she has defeated have been off-panel. By the time fans caught up to the adventure, Squirrel Girl had already beaten the villain and was now dealing with the aftermath of the battle. This occurred when she single-handedly took down Fin Fang Foom.

The massive alien that resembles a dragon is an iconic foe from the early days of Marvel Comics, and Squirrel Girl beats him with no problems whatsoever. However, this defeat leads Squirrel Girl to leave the Great Lakes Avengers, believing she is preventing them from reaching their full potential as heroes.

5 Doctor Doom

The overwhelming power of Squirrel Girl has been felt from the hero’s first appearance. A teen hero who has tried time and again to become a fully recognized hero in the Marvel community, especially by becoming a full-time Avenger. Unfortunately, when Squirrel Girl first tried to join, she was rejected by Tony Stark.

However, when the Iron Avenger came under attack by the all-powerful villain Doctor Doom, Squirrel Girl stepped up. The longtime Fantastic Four foe and leader of the nation of Latveria, Doctor Doom was defeated by Squirrel Girl, who utilized her Squirrel army to help defeat Doom and rescue Iron Man.

4 Korvac

There are many foes who require the Avengers and Marvel Universe's greatest heroes to band together to face and defeat. From Galactus and Thanos to Annihilus and the Beyonder, there have been several foes who have proved to be too powerful for any one hero to face. One such foe was Korvac, the godlike cosmic being.

With incredibly high intelligence and cosmic powers, Korvac has proved to be a formidable opponent who has defeated the combined might of Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America, along with several other Avengers. Yet, it is mentioned off-camera that Squirrel Girl has beaten the cosmic being all on her own.

3 Ego the Living Planet

After beating so many opponents, Squirrel Girl’s legend has grown over the years. Her status as a hero is unchallenged, and yet because of her legend, other heroes have felt no need to step up with her around. This includes the Great Lakes Avengers, a team she was a part of for years.

After she defeated Fin Fang Foom, the Great Lakes Avengers begin listing off the foes that she has defeated single handily. This includes Ego the Living Planet. Fans of the MCU will know this name from Guardians of the Galaxy 2, the sentient living planet and foe of the Marvel Universe.

2 Galactus

Many of the foes that Squirrel Girl has defeated over the years have been active threats to the Marvel Universe at the time. However, some of the foes she has encountered were not defeated in combat, but rather through active discussions. This is what led to her confrontation with Galactus.

That’s right, Galactus, the eater of worlds, once was about to descend on Earth when Squirrel Girl attempted to fight the cosmic being. At first, her punches held no effect on the larger than life being, but after she managed to have a conversation with him, she convinced him not to devour Earth, keeping it safe for the time being.

1 Thanos

The most powerful foe that Squirrel Girl has ever defeated is none other than Thanos, the Mad Titan. Every fan of the MCU knows this name by now, but for those who don’t, Thanos is a cosmic being who seeks to eliminate half of all life in the universe. In the comics, this was to impress his love, the living embodiment of Death. In the MCU, this was Thanos' way of “saving” the universe.

Well, in Great Lakes Avengers Special #1, Squirrel Girl gets separated from the rest of the team. Off-panel, she manages to single handily defeat Thanos, with Uatu the Watcher as a witness to confirm it is the real Thanos.
