Marvel Comics has continued to tease an upcoming Spider-Man project, with the publisher's newest tease featuring a spider web spun into the number two. And for a second consecutive day, Marvel's Editor-in-Chief, C.B. Cebulski, has commented on the tease with a well-timed joke."Dashing hopes that Spider-Man was going to join the Warriors Three... #MarvelComics," Cebulski retweeted on Twitter. Aside from the updated number, the only difference in today's teaser image is the placement of the spider crawling on the web, with the insect now on the right side of the image.RELATED: Spider-Man Suffers Another Heartbreaking Loss In War Of The RealmsThe Warriors Three consists of the Asgardians Fandral, Hogun, and Volstagg, who have played a supporting role in Thor comics for years. The three have also appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, though they were killed by Hela in Thor: Ragnarok.

The #MarvelComics hash included in the teaser images and social media posts indicates whatever the project is, it will be for the publisher's comics lineup and not a feature film. Also, the countdown style of the teasers means we could see the full announcement come sometime on Thursday, unless Marvel decides to do a number one tease and announcement on the same day.

Stay tuned to CBR for the impending announcement.
