Gamers who purchase the Ultimate Edition of Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales for PlayStation 5 will be provided with a voucher code for Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered, which is set to introduce some game-changing additions - including a revamping of Peter Parker's face in the game.

Sony announced that actor John Bubniak, who was used as Peter Parker's face model in the original game, has been recast with a brand new actor, Ben Jordan, to completely reimagine Peter Parker's look for the PS5 console. Actor Yuri Lowenthal's voice acting for the character will remain the same.

To tease Peter Parker's fresh new look, PlayStation has provided a clip from the upcoming release that shows off just how different Ben Jordan's rendition of the character will appear. In the emotionally driven scene between Peter and his mentor, Otto Octavius, Peter's reworked face reveals nuanced facial expressions as well as an added innocence that is reminiscent of Tom Holland's Marvel Cinematic Universe take on the character.

Taking advantage of the PS5's next-gen technology, the Spider-Man developers had the added advantage of making changes - not only to characters down to their individually-rendered hair strands but also to the game's open-world environment as well. The entire city of New York has been given a boost, with weather and skies layered with new details as well as more comprehensive shadows and reflections on building windows.

Developed by Insomniac Games and PlayStation Studios, Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales will be available on both PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on Nov. 12th.
