The creative team of Chip Zdarsky and Mark Bagley will return to the world of Spider-Man: Life Story in August.

Spider-Man: Life Story Annual #1, written by Zdarsky and illustrated by Bagley, will focus on Daily Bugle editor-in-chief J. Jonah Jameson and his efforts to prove that Spider-Man is a menace. The original six-issue Life Story miniseries featured Peter Parker aging in real time, with real-life events and classic Marvel storylines mingling together.

"Working on the original SPIDER-MAN: LIFE STORY was a dream come true for me," Zdarsky said. "But the problem with the miniseries was that I didn’t have the room to properly tell the life story of one of my all-time favorite characters: J. Jonah Jameson! Getting the chance to revisit this universe with Mark again has been an absolute blast!"

Marvel will give the Fantastic Four a similar treatment in Fantastic Four: Life Story by Mark Russell and Sean Izaakse, which tracks the First Family throughout the decades in celebration of their 60th anniversary. Zdarsky will also write the Spider-Man: Spider's Shadow miniseries, which goes on sale in April and takes place in a universe where Peter Parker never gave up his symbiote suit.
