Actor Scott Porter will allegedly relinquish his role as the voice of Harry Osborn in Insomniac Games' highly anticipated Marvel's Spider-Man 2.

According to PlayStation LifeStyle, when one of his fans on social media expressed their excitement for Porter's return in Marvel's Spider-Man 2, the voice actor reportedly claimed he will not reprise his role due to the age discrepancy between him and his character. "While I voiced Harry in the first Spider-Man, I, unfortunately, will not be in the sequel," Porter allegedly wrote. "They decided to go photoreal and the difference between me and Harry's ages was too much to overcome I believe. I was bummed but I get it. Gonna be an incredible game."

Porter's tweet has since been deleted, leading some fans to speculate the actor erased the post due to concerns that Insomniac Games may not want information publicized at this stage of the game's development. Porter also did not specify who will be reportedly replacing him as Harry in Marvel's Spider-Man 2. At the time of writing, Insomniac Games has yet to confirm the rumors of Porter's departure from the franchise.

Though it remains unclear if Marvel's Spider-Man 2 will introduce a new voice actor for Harry, Insomniac Games' Head of Franchise and Studio Relations, Ryan Schneider, claimed the sequel will feature the return of Marvel's Spider-Man actors Yuri Lowenthal and Nadji Jeter, who voiced Peter Parker and Miles Morales, respectively. Schneider additionally revealed beloved horror actor Tony Todd, who is best known for his role as the titular monster in the 1992 horror film classic Candyman, will provide the voice for the symbiote-fueled villain Venom in Marvel's Spider-Man 2.
