Fans can't get enough of Marvel's newest collectible card game, Marvel Snap. Created by Nuverse and Second Diner, the game pits two players in three different locations, which they must conquer by managing their energy to achieve power points. With every season battle pass, the game releases new cards and locations that keep players addicted as they update their decks to get the most power possible.

Since both character cards and locations have affects that can influence the game, it's important to know the best options to combine them. Marvel Snap has some tricky locations that could greatly affect a player's strategy unless they use the right cards to spin things in their favor.

10 The Big House Only Allows Low-Cost Cards

But Elektra Can Win The Day

Marvel Snap Big House Elektra

Hank Pym's miniaturized jail, The Big House doesn't allow the players to use any 4, 5, or 6-cost cards. Given that any card's energy cost is proportional to its power points, the Big House makes it difficult to get a high score in this location: 1-cost cards usually give 1 or 2 points only.

To make up for the lack of points, the best strategy for the Big House may be a proper offense. For example, the Elektra card only cost 1 energy point, but it targets and destroys a 1-cost card on the opposite side. This card, combined with any power-multiplier card, like Wolfsbane or Angela, could give anyone a proper advantage.

9 Mojoworld Gives 100 Points Out Of Nowhere

Squirrel Girl Can Help Fill The Space

Marvel Snap Mojoworld and Squirrel Girl

One of the most random locations in Marvel Snap is Mojoworld. This location, which is inspired by the extradimensional home of the Spineless Ones, gives 100 points to the player that has the most cards here. Since even the highest cards only have a dozen points, this renders this location undefeatable if a player fills it with low energy cards.

Unless a player is ready to sacrifice another location to win Mojoworld, it's better to focus on the other two locations, since it's impossible to get 100 points without using all four spots. In order to win this location in the first place, players should aim to use cards that have an effect on other locations. The best way to do this is using Squirrel Girl, which will add a 1+ squirrel in the other two locations on-reveal.

8 The Space Throne Only Allows For One Card

Support Cards Can Be Key Here

Marvel Snap Space Throne and Klaw

While most locations in Marvel Snap allow players to fill them with four different cards, the Space Throne only has space for one. This is obviously a reference to Thanos’ Space Throne, which the Titan uses as his main transportation throughout time and space.

The only way of winning this location is to play a card that will have more points than the player's opponent. For this, it's better to save the higher-cost characters, like Hulk, Abomination, or Thanos. It's better to wait until the opponent reveals their card just to ensure a higher score. Even if this isn't possible, players can always use cards that grant points from other locations, such asMister Fantastic or Klaw.

7 Savage Land Occupies Two Slots At Once

Hulk Buster Or Carnage Can Make Great Use Of The Raptors

Marvel Snap Savage Land and Carnage

Upon revelation, Savage Land automatically fills the player's first two spaces with two raptors that grant one point each. While these are free points, the raptors also take two out of the four available spaces, reducing the players' chances to play their best cards.

To solve this, there are two options. First, the player can use the Hulk Buster which grants four extra points to a card without occupying space. Also, players can take advantage of the two raptors by playing Carnage, who will eat the raptors, opening their slots, while gaining two points for each card.

6 Atlantis Grants 5+ Points To A Single Card

And It's King, Namor, Is A Perfect Choice

Marvel Snap Atlantis and Namor

The underwater kingdom of Atlantis is the home of Namor, its current ruler. In Marvel Snap, Atlantis adds 5+ points to any card in that location it as long as it's the only one there. Since both players can easily put a card here, this isn't such a great advantage. However, it can be fixed.

By using Namor, Atlantis's rightful King, on this location, the card (which already has a 5 power) will receive another 5 power. Additionally, Namor's own on-reveal effect will grant him another 5 power if he is the only card in a location. With 15 power in just one card, Namor is practically undefeatable when played in Atlantis.

5 Cards On Nidavellir Get +5 Points

Mister Sinister Can Quickly Give The Player A Win Here

Marvel Snap Nidavellir and Mister Sinister

Nidavellir, the home of the dwarves, is one of the ten realms located on Yggdrasill. Upon reveal, Nidavellir adds +5 power to any card played on this location., which is up to 20 free points. In order to take advantage of this, players need to feed Nidavellir as fast as possible.

The best strategy to fill Nidavellir without losing many turns is to use Mister Sinister. Costing just 2 energy, Sinister will add a Sinister clone to the same location. After this, players could use Wolfsbane for an extra +5 on-reveal. Another option is to play White Tiger, which will get +5 and add +7 to a different location.

4 The Bar With No Name Breaks All The Rules

The Hood And Mister Negative Can Give A Player The Lack Of Points Needed Here

Marvel Snap Bar With No Name and The Hood

In all Marvel Snap locations, players must get the highest amount of points in order to win. However, the Bar with No Name plays things a little differently. Whoever has the least amount of points in this location will win here. Players who want to avoid a tie need to be smart.

Zero isn't the lowest number in the game. There are certain cards that grant negative points. For example, the Hood and Mister Negative. Additionally, a player could use Hobgoblin or the Green Goblin if they manage to stop their on-reveal effect.

3 It's Better To Keep The Superflow Empty

Let Mister Fantastic Stretch Over To Gain Points Here

Marvel Snap The Superflow and Mister Fantastic

Marvel's own version of the Bleed, the Superflow is a place between universes from which dreams and ideas come. In Marvel Snap, this location grants the players +1 energy every turn as long as it remains empty. Since Marvel Snap operates by limiting energy per turn, players will want to take advantage of this.

The most basic strategy for this would be to wait until the final turn to play a high-cost, high-reward card, but fate could leave the player without any points in this location. It's better to try and add some points to the Superflow without using cards. For example, Mister Fantastic grants 2+ to any adjacent location on reveal. This would be enough to keep harnessing energy until the end of the game.

2 Avengers Compound Restricts The Game To A Single Location For A While

The Guardians Of The Galaxy Can Be Sure To Get Extra Points Here

Marvel Snap Avengers Compound and Star Lord

One of Marvel's favorite superhero lairs, the Avengers Compound is the building where Earth's Mightiest Heroes plan their battles and rest in between them. In Marvel Snap, this location becomes the only option to play on turn 5. In order to not waste any of their turns, players should wait until this moment to add any cards to this location.

Additionally, they can take advantage of the fact that their opponent will also play a card in this location. To do this, they can play Guardians of the Galaxy heroes Star-Lord, Rocket Raccoon, Groot, or Gamora. All these cards grant extra points if the other player also plays a card in the same location.

1 Cards Can't Be Played At The Sanctum Sanctorum

But Nightcrawler And Vision Can Be Moved Here

Marvel Snap Sanctum Sanctorum and Nightcrawler

The Sanctum Sanctorum is home to Doctor Strange. Always a secured space, Marvel Snap's Sanctum Sanctorum doesn't allow players to play any cards in this location, but this doesn't mean there's nothing they can do about it.

Players can still get some points at the Sanctum Sanctorum by taking advantage of a loophole. Cards can't be played at this location, but they can be moved here. Any move card, such as Nightcrawler or Vision, could do the trick. For extra points, players can also use Mister Fantastic at an adjacent spot.
