Marvel Snap has turned into one of the most entertaining games out there. This fast-paced and gripping virtual card game uses some of the best characters and locations in Marvel Comics to create a dynamic and epic, if not nerve-racking, battle between two players.

With time, Marvel Snap has been adding more cards to the game to make it even more interesting. When players first start, they obtain cards from a pool of cards. However, when they collect all the cards from Pool 1, they can access Pool 2, and so on. So far, Pool 3 offers several advantageous characters from its impressive total of 81 cards.

10 Black Widow

Black Widow is one of the best Marvel Snap cards to use in the early rounds of the game. With only a -2 energy cost, this card gives a Widow's Bite card to the opponent, which will impair the player from getting new cards from their deck until they get rid of the Widow's Bite.

This is a great strategy. Not only does it force one's opponent to have at least one less card, but it also makes them lose a spot in one of their locations. Since playable cards in Marvel Snap are limited, this is a great way to cause some trouble early on.

9 Titania

Titania can be a dangerous card, but if it's played well, it's one of the best cards in Marvel Snap. For only one energy point, the card gives +5 power points to a location, which makes it one of the most generous cards in the game.

However, Titania has one problem: if the player plays another card in the location where it's played, the card will now belong to the opponent. Players need to be very careful with Titania and only use it when they aren't planning to add any more cards to that location.

8 Black Cat

Black Cat is another very cost-effective card. For only three energy points, it adds seven power points to a location, which makes it truly worthy. However, the drawback of Black Cat is that it has to be played in the turn when the players draw it, or it gets discarded.

While Black Cat's downside makes it a little less impressive, it's still a great card if the player draws it at the right moment. Still, discarding this card won't really hurt the player, and it could even be beneficial if combined with cards that provide points for each discarded card, such as Hela.

7 Absorbing Man

Absorbing Man is a game-changer if combined with the right cards. While it's not a great card in terms of points, giving only three power points for -4 energy, its on reveal ability makes it very powerful. Absorbing Man will copy the On Reveal ability of the previously played card, if it has any.

Paired with cards such as IronHeart or Wolfsbane, equipped with On Reveal abilities that provide more power points to a location, Absorbing Man could further increase a location's total points. Marvel Snap players just need to be careful to use this card when it's convenient.

6 She-Hulk

She-Hulk is one of the best cards in terms of saving energy points, and if played well, it's one of the best finishing cards in Marvel Snap. This card will cost one -1 energy for each energy point the player didn't spend in previous turns.

This means She-Hulk could cost even less than six energy points. Since players aren't always able to use all the energy points from the previous turn, this is a great way of turning a prior disappointment into a solid advantage.

5 Wong

Wong may not be a great Marvel Snap card in terms of its basic points, but if played well, it could still grant a lot of power points with its ongoing ability. Since Wong triggers the On Reveal abilities in a location twice, it would duplicate all the bonuses from On Reveal abilities.

Additionally, a card like Wong works really well if played before Onslaught, because then, the On Reveal abilities at this location could happen four times. For example, if a player uses a card like IronHeart, which gives three friendly cards two more power points, with Wong and Onslaught, IronHeart would give a total of +24 power points.

4 Captain Marvel

Captain Marvel is one of the best characters in Marvel, so it only makes sense that her Marvel Snap card would be equally amazing. This card will automatically move to a location if it wins players the game, as long as there is an available spot in the location.

Since players often don't know which location will need the biggest amount of points, using this card can be incredibly helpful. The opponent will need to completely win all the locations. If not, Captain Marvel could steal the game.

3 Agatha Harkness

Agatha Harkness can be a double-edged sword, but it's undeniable that its +14 power points are worth the risk. While this is a powerful card, it has a very big downside: Agatha will take the player's place, choosing their cards, from the moment the card is in their hand.

However, if the player has a really well-crafted deck, this shouldn't be a problem. The AI would choose cards that still make a great addition to the game. However, Agatha isn't meant for decks that depend a lot on pairing the right cards together.

2 Mysterio

Mysterio is one of the worst Marvel Snap cards to appear on the opponent's side. Not only is this card very cost-effective, giving +5 power points for only -2 energy, but it also creates two duplicates of itself on the table, so the opponent doesn't know which one is the real card.

A lot of the choices in Marvel Snap depend on what the other player is doing in the different locations. Since players have limited cards and energy, using a card in a location that doesn't need it, while neglecting another location, could truly complicate things for the adversary.

1 Magneto

Magneto card Marvel Snap with Marvel Snap background

Based on the mutant powerhouse, Magneto is definitely a finishing card. With a six-energy cost and 12-power points, this card pretty much earns a location on its own. In order to keep things a bit balanced, Magneto also pulls all opposing 3 and 3-cost cards to this location.

However, if used strategically, Magneto can help win the other Marvel Snap locations, as it strips them from the points they already have. Whether it is to take advantage of Magneto's 12 points or to ensure its ability will leave other locations vulnerable, it's unarguable that this card is as strong as it gets in Marvel Snap. It is a must-have in any movement-based deck.
