Marvel SNAP players can take a few pointers from the game's creator, Ben Brode, who shared his favorite decks for decimating opponents.

Brode discussed his three favorite decks to play during an interview with IGN. As described by Brode, these combinations are optimized to solidify a player's hold on a location or heavily restrict the opponent's options to fight back. Having established that, the creator reveals that his three decks of choice are named the "Omega" deck, the "Butthead" deck and the "Beast" deck, all of which implement his strategy.

Marvel SNAP's Best Decks

The first is the "Omega" deck, which relies on a three-card combination of Omega Red, Iron Man and Onslaught. When added to a single location, Omega Red's base power of five is doubled by Iron Man before being doubled again by Onslaught's special effect. That's where Omega Red's unique ability comes into play. It adds four power to other locations if you're winning by 10 or more, which turns into eight, thanks to Onslaught's presence. As strong as it is, the SNAP deck's strategy relies on an early Invisible Woman card to hide the location's brewing power.

Brode's second Marvel SNAP deck of choice is the "Butthead" deck. The core goal of it is to fill the enemy's board, deck and hand with junk. Green Goblin, Debrii and Viper fill the opponent's locations with power-reducing or useless cards. By following it up with Black Widow, Spider-Woman and Hazmat, whatever characters are on the board are weakened. The deck's name used to have a different title. Brode shared, "Okay, so this deck used to be called Dickwad, but my son was offended, so he made me rename it to Butthead."

The creator's last deck is one that's still being played around with. He calls it the "Beast" deck, and it's built around Beast and Falcon's ability to return played cards back to their owner's hand. The trick to the deck is only using one, two and three cost cards, returning them to a player's hand and playing them again at a decreased cost. The best cards for this style of play are ones that have helpful on-reveal effects like Iceman, Black Widow, Ironheart and Nakia. This can be combined with The Collector's unique effect, which accrues power by returning cards to the owner's hand.

These Marvel SNAP decks can be created and abused on mobile and PC.
