In Marvel Animation's upcoming Marvel Rising series, even the villain will be relatable. At Comic-Con International in San Diego, Milana Vayntrub -- who voices Squirrel Girl -- offered CBR a tease of what fans can expect from the series' villains.

"In terms of characters getting along or not getting along, even the characters that are the villains are relatable and understandable and I think, just like in life, a lot of the people that cause pain are often in pain," she explained. "That's kind of a cool thing that Marvel has also done very well is personify and humanize people that would otherwise be considered the Other or untouchable, you know? Now we can kind of have room in our heart for them too."

At the time of writing, Marvel Rising's villain -- or villains, as the case seems to be -- has not been revealed. However, per Vayntrub's comment, it seems there will be more to them than meets the eye.
