Marvel Rising: Secret Warriors & Ghost-Spider Team Up in Chasing Ghosts Trailer

Marvel has officially revealed a release date, trailer and poster for the upcoming animated special Marvel Rising: Chasing Ghosts, which marks Ghost-Spider's return to the franchise.

The 22-minute feature is set to premiere on the Marvel HQ YouTube Channel on Wednesday, January 16 at 4 pm PT. The special will then be available on the DisneyNOW app on February 1. During the YouTube premiere, voice actors Tyler Posey, Booboo Stewart, Kathreen Khavari, Kamil McFadden and Roger Craig Smith will also be live-chatting with fans.

Additionally, the trailer provides some information regarding what fans can expect from the special itself, as Gwen Stacy/Ghost-Spider -- who was last seen in the Marvel: Rising: Initiation series of shorts -- is forced to team up with the Secret Warriors in order to take down the villains Sheath and Exile. Along the way, Quake tries to see if she can convince Gwen to join the team on a full-time basis.

The poster for the special puts Gwen front and center. She is joined by established Marvel Rising cast members Quake, Ms. Marvel, Inferno, America Chavez, Squirrel Girl, Patriot and Lockjaw.

Although they do not appear in the trailer or the poser, Gwen Stacy's bandmates Mary Jane Watson and Gloria grant will also appear in Chasing Ghosts, with Tara Strong and Skai Jackson reprising their respective roles from Initiation.

Speaking of musicians, Marvel Rising: Chasing Ghosts will also feature Disney star Sofia Wylie making her musical debut with the song "Side By Side," which will be available as a digital single on Jan. 18.

Directed by Alfred Gimeno, Marvel Rising: Chasing Ghosts stars Dove Cameron as Ghost-Spider, Tyler Posey as Inferno, Chloe Bennet as Quake, Cierra Ramirez as America Chavez, Booboo Stewart as Exile, Milana Vayntrub as Squirrel Girl, Kathreen Khavari as Ms. Marvel, Kamil McFadden as Patriot, Skai Jackson as Gloria Grant, Dee Bradley Baker as Lockjaw/Tippy-Toe, Steven Weber as Captain Stacy, Tara Strong as Mary Jane Watson, and Amanda C. Miller as Sheath. The animated special hits Marvel HQ on Jan. 16.
