Fans of characters like Miles Morales and Riri Williams have begun to question what will happen to those heroes once their co-creator, Brian Michael Bendis, departs Marvel for DC Comics. Although the writer didn't offer specifics, he reassured his followers on social media that Marvel still has big plans Williams, aka Ironheart.

Replying to a message from a fan on Twitter, Bendis wrote, "I have very good Intel that Miss Williams will live past me in the best way possible. Stay tuned. A lot of you ask me about Marvel‘s plans and it’s really their plans to announce. All I can tell you is that very good people are making very good choices."

Those "very good people" he referred to are more than likely Marvel editors working behind the scenes to guide Riri's future adventures. While teasing one more major Marvel creation before his departure to DC, Bendis said he's still writing for Marvel until the end of December. That would give Bendis ample time to bring his Ironheart story to a satisfying conclusion before handing off the character to his successor.

Bendis now writes Invincible Iron Man, Spider-Man, Jessica Jones and Defenders for Marvel. There’s no official word yet as to when his multiyear DC-exclusive agreement will begin, although a tweet from Bendis would suggest January.
