Marvel Comics has revealed a new Hulk -- and he's said to be the most dangerous version of the Avenger yet.

In a press release from Marvel Comics, the publisher shared Ryan Ottley's variant cover for Hulk #6, which is illustrated by Ottley and written by Donny Cates. The press release teases Bruce Banner losing control of Starship Hulk, which allows something worse to take control. This new threat, known as Titan, will apparently have a major effect on the Hulk mythos going forward. According to the press release, Titan will be "Bruce Banner's cruelest transformation" and be the Hulk persona's "most destructive form yet." It is unclear at this time just how this new version of Hulk will be introduce and how long the transformation will stick around for.

Speaking of the new Hulk, editor Wil Moss said, "The heroes of the Marvel Universe may think Hulk is the problem, but he's not -- THIS is the problem. And after Hulk #6, there's no stopping it…"

The current run of Hulk began with Banner splitting his persona into three different parts. This has allowed Banner to, essentially, turn the Hulk's body into a spaceship fueled by the being's anger. Banner then took Hulk into a pocket dimension following an incident in El Paso. Just what truly happened in El Paso is not entirely clear, but Hulk seems to have massacred a number of people. At the time of writing, three issues of Hulk have released.

Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, Bruce Banner/Hulk first appeared in 1962's The Incredible Hulk #1. After being exposed to gamma radiation during an experiment, Banner began transforming into the Hulk due to emotional stress. While Banner himself is a genius with several advanced degrees, Hulk is immensely powerful and essentially indestructible. As such, he's served as both a hero and a villain over the years. The character has appeared in live-action on numerous occasions and is currently played by Mark Ruffalo in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Hulk #6 is slated for release on April 20. For retails, the final order cut off date is Monday, March 21. The next issue of the series, Hulk #4, releases Feb. 16.
