Marvel Reveals "Cable & X-Force"/"Uncanny X-Force" Crossover Covers

Discussed this past weekend at New York Comic Con and revealed in full Thursday with Marvel's January 2014 solicitations, "Cable & X-Force" and "Uncanny X-Force" will cross over in January, in a story called "Vendetta."

The crossover will run for four issues, released weekly in January, playing off the long-brewing tensions between "Uncanny X-Force" cast member Bishop and Cable, along with the return of old-school X-Force villain -- and Cable's clone -- Stryfe. Marvel released all four Ramón Perez-illustrated covers from the story Thursday afternoon, with only two appearing in the solicitations.

"We knew when we had two X-Force titles that it would be cool to have one X-Force running into the other X-Force," Marvel editor Daniel Ketchum said Friday at NYCC's "Amazing X-Men and Marvel Universe" panel.

"Vendetta" starts in "Cable & X-Force" #18, scheduled for release on Jan. 8, from writer Dennis Hopeless and artist Angel Unzueta; before continuing Jan. 15 in "Uncanny X-Force" #16 by writer Sam Humphries and artist Harvey Tolibao. With the same creative teams on their respective books, "Vendetta" continues Jan. 22 with "Cable & X-Force" #19 and wraps Jan. 29 with "Uncanny X-Force" #17.
