Marvel Releases New Official "Ant-Man" Synopsis

Stitch Kingdom has posted the new official synopsis for Marvel's "Ant-Man." While the synopsis doesn't really detail anything new about the upcoming film, there are a few new cast members credited, including Tip "Ti" Harris as Dave, Wood Harris as Gale and Jordi Molla as Castillo.

It's also notable that the official synopsis characterizes the writing credits as "TBD." The first pass on the film was likely by original director Edgar Wright, but after he parted ways with Marvel over creative differences, Marvel brought in Adam McKay to do a re-write. It's not currently known whether any other writers participated in tuning up the script.

The next evolution of the Marvel Cinematic Universe brings a founding member of The Avengers to the big screen for the first time with Marvel Studios' "Ant-Man." Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in
scale but increase in strength, master thief Scott Lang must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym, protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world.

and Michael Douglas as Hank Pym.

Directed by Peyton Reed and produced by Kevin Feige, Marvel's "Ant-Man" delivers a high-stakes, tension-filled adventure on July 17, 2015.
