Marvel Releases First Look at Cassaday's "Uncanny Avengers" Color Interiors

As Marvel Comics' upcoming Marvel NOW! relaunch draws closer, more details continue to come to light. While John Cassaday's uncolored pages for "Uncanny Avengers" were revealed just yesterday, Marvel continue to tease readers by revealing new colored interior art from Cassaday on the Diamond Comics Retailer website, along with a first look at a variant cover by Sara Pichelli. While plot details are sparse on the newly revealed pages, more will undoubtedly come to light during today's live press conference call with Rick Remender and Executive Editor Tom Brevoort at 3:00 PM Eastern/12:00 PM Pacific.

"John's pages have been classic examples of his work. He's a great storyteller and he's also a tremendous illustrator," Remender said of Cassaday in a CBR interview earlier this month. "Plus, you've seen him do legendary stuff with Captain America and the X-Men. So he's had really important runs with both of these characters and it feels right and natural that John be the guy to do this book given his connection to both sides. Plus, he's John Cassaday! He's amazing! So this stuff has got tremendously exciting illustrations, but never at the expense of storytelling."

Also included on the Diamond Comics Retailer website were an "A+X" #1 variant cover by Dale Keown and a "Red She-Hulk" variant cover by Skottie Young.

Check out the pages below and stick around for the "Uncanny Avengers" conference call LIVE coverage at 3 PM Eastern/12 PM Pacific.
