The MCU has brought together some of Marvel's most famous and obscure characters together in film. Popular characters like Spider-Man and Captain America are put alongside previously little-known characters like Star-Lord and Rocket Raccoon. However, when Marvel is in charge of their own movies, anything goes. As the universe has continued, they've only added more heroes to their roster. With such an impressive list of characters to their name, it's hard to imagine that there are still plenty other characters who have yet to appear in the MCU. Even some of their most popular characters have yet to receive the MCU treatment. However, as many of the MCU actors gracefully bow out of the franchise, Marvel will likely turn to these other characters to help keep the franchise going.

When these characters are brought into the MCU, they're usually done so with a mix of the MCU style and several elements from the source material. This leads to characters that look and feel like their comic book versions, but are altered just a bit to fit in with a more "realistic" movie universe. As the MCU brings more characters into the MCU, they'll have to change their designs a bit first. That said, some fans have already done the work, creating their versions of heroes and villains that haven't appeared in a Marvel movie yet. There are plenty of characters Marvel can use for the MCU, so we're taking a look at 20 Marvel characters redesigned for the MCU by fans.

20 MOON KNIGHT

Since the days of Daredevil on Netflix, fans have been waiting when Marvel will give the same treatment to Moon Knight. If this white knight ever makes it into the MCU, though, artist Edward Pun already gave a good picture of what he would look like. Being a vigilante, Moon Knight would need some realistic armor across his body.

In a style similar to Batman, Moon Knight is also armed to the teeth with equipment on his legs and belt. It's a much more realistic take on Moon Knight's costume, but it's one that works extremely well. With Netflix's Marvel shows on the outs, we're not sure where he'd appear, though.

19 NOVA

With the Nova Corps and Xandar wiped out by Thanos, many fans believe it's time to bring Nova into the MCU. Already having the perfect origin story set up, he seems a prime candidate for the MCU's Phase Four. Some fans have already imagined what he would look like, and this art comes from Raf Grasseti, the art director for the most recent God of War game.

Nova keeps his blue and yellow color scheme, but various details in the armor are added. The silver on the chest makes the armor look more durable, while still reminiscent of the Nova Corps armor design from Guardians of the Galaxy.

18 SPIDER-MAN 2099

Spider-Man has made his home in the MCU, and some fans are thinking that Spidey's presence could lead to more Spider-Men joining the MCU at some point. One of the most popular of the bunch is Spider-Man 2099, who wouldn't need that many changes if he were in the MCU. Artist Rose Davies has already taken his design with her own spin on it.

The urban art style lends to the futuristic, urban setting of this Spidey's world. The red is given much greater contrast on top of the subtle details on his claws and arm blades. This Spidey would look great on the big screen.

17 SENTRY

The MCU has no shortage of powerful characters, but one of Marvel's strongest heroes has yet to make an appearance. The Sentry makes a massive appearance whenever he shows up, so there's no doubt he'd have a similar effect in the movies. Artist Wyatt Faller has taken Sentry's design and modernized it a bit.

Instead of being clean shaven and with long hair, Sentry is given the rugged hair and goatee that is popular with Thor and Captain America. For the most part, the gold and blue of his suit remain intact, but the gold isn't as bright as it is in the comics. The big focal point of this design is the "S" in the middle of his belt.

16 MAGNETO

Marvel will appropriately need to make some changes if they plan on having a new Magneto in the MCU. Some of the character's old tricks wouldn't have much of a place in their films, as they've already been used in FOX's X-Men franchise. However, Magneto could still work with a unique design, as proven by Jonathan Hernandez.

This look for Magneto gives him a more dignified look with a metal chest plate and shoulder pads. His military pants and shirt contrast nicely to his more reserved red cape. The big difference is that he is wearing no helmet and has long hair -- it's a big change, but it may just be what the MCU's Magneto needs.

15 SAM WILSON AS CAPTAIN AMERICA

With Captain America on his way out of the MCU, some have theorized that another hero could take his place. Of the remaining Marvel heroes, either Bucky or Sam Wilson are perfect candidates for the job. Aiki Aiham put forth the effort to show what the latter would look like as the Star Spangled Avenger.

His wings and goggles remain largely the same, but the rest of his costume is given the triumphant red, white, and blue design of Steve Rogers. He gets some added protection over his legs, some brighter colors on his wings, and of course, the vibranium shield as well.

14 ADAM WARLOCK

Adam Warlock was a big part of Thanos' arrival in the comics, so it was surprising to many people that he will have more to do with the Guardians of the Galaxy series instead of Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. Warlock already exists in the MCU, as he is being created by the Sovereign, but he has not appeared yet.

Jason Pastrana has already imagined what this new character could look like. Taking elements from both Doctor Strange and Vision, Warlock appears as a naive yet powerful entity. His design somehow gives the appearance of more personality than the comic version while still looking like an emotionless robot.

13 MS MARVEL

With Captain Marvel on her way to the MCU and the next Phases featuring more female characters, we're confident that Ms. Marvel will be joining the roster soon. BossLogic seems to agree, as he has already designed his interpretation on the young heroine.

The design takes all of its inspiration from the comics, but with a few added details that make it feel like a great fit for the MCU. The subtle stitching around the torso and the gold trim on her outfit make it feel complete. Her emblem on the front is given an outline as well that gives it an extra flair.

12 DOCTOR DOOM

Doctor Doom will surely make the transition to the MCU after Disney and Marvel figure out how they're going to incorporate FOX's characters. Jao Picart has already imagined what the Fantastic Four villain could look like in the MCU. Taking a more technological approach, Doctor Doom is practically an entire robot with a solid frame and details that hint to his intelligence.

It's possible that this interpretation of Doctor Doom is building off of the tech that Tony Stark began. All his colors remain intact, but there are a few green lines around the suit that give it a nice enhancement.

11 SILVER SURFER

Adapting the Silver Surfer to a movie wouldn't seem too difficult. After all, he's just a big silver guy on a surfboard. However, Marvel movies mostly understand that characters need to have more to look at than just a singular color with little detail. Josh Herman has imagined a version of the character with more to appreciate than the previous film version.

He is still silver, but his body is accented with darker gray elements that still make him feel otherworldly. Even his surfboard is given some extra details to help it fit in with the MCU without looking over-designed.

10 SCORPION

Mac Gargan already exists in the MCU. His appearance in Spider-Man: Homecoming seemed to suggest that Marvel is slowly building toward their own version of the Scorpion. Needham Comics has given a drastic interpretation on what the character could look like. With a much more tech-heavy design, Scorpion looks like an alien rather than a guy in a scorpion costume.

The enhanced limbs and extra weaponry give him a more haunting appearance. The color scheme remains the same as his comic version, but he looks much more dangerous than he normally does. Spidey would be in for the fight of his life if this was the Scorpion he faced.

9 SHE-HULK

The Hulk is already one of the MCU's biggest and strongest characters, but they haven't made great use of his lore. There are still plenty of characters in the Hulk family that could make an appearance, including She-Hulk. One of the more popular choices for Phase Four, She-Hulk could be an interesting companion to the likes of Captain Marvel.

Artist Risa Hulett has already imagined how she would look too. While she still has the purple and white design for her torso, She-Hulk is given bandages around her fists and ripped jeans, implying her rough attitude and fighting style. It's a welcome change from the comic design.

8 WOLVERINE

With Hugh Jackman finished playing Wolverine, Marvel would need to bring in a new face and a new interpretation if they were going to bring the character to the MCU. The big move would clearly to have his costume from the comics, which never made an appearance in the X-Men films. James Holland takes the credit for this work, and it's a great look for the character.

While we don't think Joaquin Phoenix would play Wolverine, the outfit is precisely what we think would make it in the MCU. It's both realistic while accurate to the comics. Putting him in the brown and yellow suit is also a nice touch.

7 MILES MORALES

With Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse getting excellent reviews, it's possible that Marvel could take notice and try to bring Miles Morales into the MCU. Artist Justin Michael has imagined what Miles could look like not only if he makes it into the MCU, but if he gets added to the Avengers.

The suit takes the darker color scheme of Miles' traditional costume and gives it a more technologically advanced look. Complete with red accents, an extended spider logo, and the "A" on his shoulder, this version of Miles looks ready for battle. It would likely be a while before we saw him in the MCU, though.

6 GALACTUS

Galactus is easily one of Marvel's most threatening foes. If he were to get in the MCU, it would be another "all hands on deck" situation. Reddit artist TruthorGjallarhorn put this piece of art together imagining what the planet eater would look like in the MCU. With a flying Iron Man for scale, Galactus feels massive and is jaw-dropping just by his size alone.

However, there are all kinds of additions made to his suit that give him that extra sense of realism. No doubt, a goofy purple costume wouldn't work in film, so details like this would need to be made for a proper live-action appearance.

5 GREEN GOBLIN

Green Goblin is Spider-Man's biggest foe, so it makes sense that he would eventually make an appearance in the MCU. Many have tried to imagine what he would look like in that universe, but James Carson has most of them beaten. While this design wasn't created for the MCU (it was concept art for Spider-Man), it's a perfect picture of what the MCU should look to achieve.

It combines technology with the sinister look of the character. Both film versions of Green Goblin never quite captured the look of the character from the comics. If Marvel uses him, then they'll need to look to the source material for his design.

4 KANG THE CONQUEROR

Kang the Conqueror would need some changed before making a live-action appearance in the MCU. Artist Richie Mason has already put together his idea of what an MCU Kang should look like. Kang's general helmet design is stripped away for something that looks appropriately futuristic. With seemingly indistinguishable technology in his hand, he appears like a real-world version of someone from the distant future.

The long cape is also a nice touch, hinting at Kang's desire to rule the world. He certainly looks more like an Avengers villain in this version, as opposed to the goofier comic counterpart that is a bit laughable.

3 X-MEN

While the art style for these X-Men is far from realistic, the core idea remains the same. These are what the X-Men would fundamentally look like in the MCU according to an artist by the name of Jo. The X-Men are given standard uniforms, but they each have their own version of it to help distinguish themselves from one another.

It's hard to believe that the X-Men would be brought to the MCU and be entirely rebuilt, but if they were, this wouldn't be a bad place to start without giving them each their own unique costumes. Either way, the MCU may need to consider some costume changes when bringing them over.

2 SINISTER SIX

The Sinister Six have yet to appear in a Spider-Man film. While studios have tried to get them in, they failed before anything could happen. With Vulture and Scorpion already in the MCU and Mysterio on the way in Spider-Man: Far from Home, it seems that Marvel could easily have their own version of the team in a few years.

With compiled artwork from different sources, this interpretation of the Sinister Six could be close to what we get in the movies. Doc Ock and Kraven are added to round out the roster. While the actors are easily subject to change, the main idea remains the same.

1 FANTASTIC FOUR

The Fantastic Four haven't had a great legacy on film. With four movies of bad quality, it's time for Marvel to take the reigns and do their first family some justice. With the FOX deal, they're a perfect team to be brought to the MCU, and artist Imran Sheikh has already given us a taste of how they could look.

Married couple John Krasinski and Emily Blunt are appropriately imagined as Reed Richards and Sue Storm. Human Torch is given an outfit that can better channel his heat, and Thing is finally given a suit that covers his torso as well. There's a certain charm to this design that makes it all the more exciting. We want these characters in a good film.
