Marvel Realm of Champions released its 4.1 update and provided details on the game's latest event, gear, weapons and arena.

While the 4.1 update for Marvel Realm of Champions introduces a range of content to the game, the biggest addition is the new in-game event. Titled "A House Divided," the quest sees Peggy Carter enlisting the help of several champions across Battleworld to retrieve a Red Tesseract. The powerful artifact is believed to have been created by the USSR and has fallen under Hydra's control.

Agent Carter's team of Champions will need to challenge and overcome one of the Patriot Garrison's own Champions, the Red Guardian, to reclaim the Red Tesseract and free him from Hydra's control. Players will need to battle through an onslaught of enemies, all while defending Agent Carter, in order to prevent Hydra from abusing the powerful device.

Players will also be able to access a new map: The Raft. Developer Kabam describes the new arena as, "Housing some of the most dangerous beings on Battleworld, navigate the slippery upper decks of the Raft, and defeat your foes as storms rage around you."

New gear and weapon options were also added to Marvel Realm of Champions. These include new Super Solider gear, including a Red Guardian Set and Patriotic Gear Slots, alongside a Super Solider: Hydra Vibranium Shield Variant weapon. The Sorcerer Supreme will also be able to make use of the Black Mirror weapon, capable of giving life to allies and spreading death through precise arcane blasts and powerful wave attacks.

As can be expected, the 4.1 update for Marvel Realm of Champions also includes a variety of gameplay improvements and tweaks. Players can now adjust their Targeting Priority setting between Standard and Low Health. Standard targeting factors in the player's movement direction, target distance, last attacked target and target health to determine the optimal enemy to attack. Low Health targeting... well, that targets enemies with the least health.

The camera can now be toggled between Standard and Closer mode. Kabam recommends Standard for strategic battles while Closer pulls the camera down to the action "for a more immersive experience."

Lastly, ally collision is improved in this update, meaning it should be easier for players to move amongst teammates and friendly NPCs. Allies are now less likely to block the player's path, hopefully alleviating some frustration experienced during tense, chaotic battles.

Players who want to help Peggy Carter in her effort to reclaim the Red Tesseract need only download Marvel Realm of Champions for free on any Android or iOS device.
