In a second wave of promotional material for The Punisher, coming just after the announcement of a release date, Daredevil actor Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page) has gotten the spotlight in a poster of her own.RELATED: The Punisher: Karen Page Almost Didn’t Make It into the SeriesPosted by the official Twitter account for the Marvel and Netflix series, the poster has the tagline "The truth must be taken," and a caption of "She has his back," obviously referring to her friendship with Frank Castle. Woll's character was in both seasons of Daredevil and showed up in August's The Defenders, but her inclusion in The Punisher wasn't always solidified.“I asked to have her, because she and Frank [Castle] are so great,” showrunner Steve Lightfoot said recently about Karen Page. “Frank is a closed-off military guy, and this is a woman he treats like an equal more than anyone else.” Lightfoot revealed that due to the chemistry Deborah Ann Woll’s Page had with Jon Bernthal’s Punisher, he knew she would be a key aspect of the story he wanted to tell.
