Actor Ginger Gonzaga has revealed that Marvel Studies paid her to wear her own clothes on She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.

Gonzaga, who plays Nikki Ramos on the Marvel Cinematic Universe series, told The Hollywood Reporter about how her performance in the series was impacted by wardrobe. "I didn't feel comfortable as Nikki unless she was wearing something a little defiant or something that she shouldn't be wearing at work or something that's a little too high fashion and really racks up her credit cards," she said, crediting She-Hulk costume designer Ann Foley for her willingness to collaborate with her. The actor's input on Nikki's fashion choices was so influential that the studio began buying Gonzaga's personal clothes from her for use in the show. "I lost a lot of [my] wardrobe on this job, but they paid me for it," Gonzaga said with a laugh.

Nikki Ramos, the best friend and paralegal of series protagonist Jennifer Walters/She-Hulk (Tatiana Maslany), is just one of the many characters that make up She-Hulk's supporting cast. Joining Gonzaga in the series is Arrowverse alum Josh Segarra as Augustus "Pug" Pugliese, and Tim Roth, who reprises his MCU role of Emil Blonsky/Abomination from 2008's The Incredible Hulk.

Series creator Jessica Gao revealed recently that the changes made to Blonsky's character have to do with the amount of time that has passed since his last major appearance. Another addition to She-Hulk's cast was confirmed earlier this week to be acclaimed rapper Megan Thee Stallion, whose involvement with the series has long been rumored online. It remains unconfirmed at this time what role Stallion will play in the series or how big of a part she will play.

Daredevil Is Returning to the MCU

Additionally, She-Hulk's cast is set to feature Daredevil star Charlie Cox, who will be making his full costumed return as Matt Murdock following his brief cameo in Spider-Man: No Way Home. In contrast to the gritty realism seen in the Marvel Netflix series, She-Hulk will feature a more comedic take on the Man Without Fear. Gao confirmed that despite this, Cox was dedicated to remaining accurate to Daredevil's source material. "[Cox] has such reverence and love for that character," Gao said. "It's clear that the character meant so much to him, but he also came very game to play around. He was totally up for more funny banter and having this fun dynamic with Jen and She-Hulk."
