Just as the government of the Marvel Universe attempted to rein in the superhero community during the events of Civil War, its teenage heroes are facing federal pressure in the upcoming one-shot issue Outlawed.
Fresh off the issue's announcement -- with the special written by Dr. Eve L. Ewing and illustrated by Kim Jacinto -- Marvel Comics has released a preview, showing the teenage superheroes facing a government hearing on whether they should be allowed to continue their costumed activities. As Captain America argues in their defense, the preview teases a cataclysmic incident with ominous implications for Vision's daughter Viv. The cover and preview pages of the one-shot are below.
Many of the teen heroes seen in the preview are members of the Marvel Universe's young superteam, the Champions, and starred in the team's recently concluded series.
With previous teaser images from Marvel hinting at renewed division within the superhero community following a government announcement, the Marvel Universe may soon experience its own teenage Civil War.
Outlawed #1 is written by Eve L. Ewing and illustrated by Kim Jacinto. It is scheduled to go on sale this March from Marvel Comics.
