Marvel Comics has released a teaser for "Enter the Phoenix," the next chapter in writer Jason Aaron's Avengers run. As the name entails, "Enter the Phoenix" promises the return of the Phoenix Force. The story arc will see Aaron team with his Avengers collaborators Javier Garron and Ed McGuinness in December.
"Enter the Phoenix" follows Aaron and Garron's "Age of Khonshu," which reveals startling revelations about Moon Knight. "Then, gear up for the grand return of the cosmic chaos-bringer of life and death in Jason Aaron and Javier Garron’s 'ENTER THE PHOENIX,' on sale in December!" Marvel's press release states.
"Age of Khonshu" currently sees Moon Knight and his god, Khonshu, reshape the Marvel Universe in their image. Moon Knight has stolen the abilities of the Avengers; most notably the powers and abilities of the prehistoric Avengers. Iron Fist, Doctor Strange, Ghost Rider and Thor have had their powers and weapons stolen, with Black Panther a prisoner of war. Moon Knight stole the Avengers' powers to combat Mephisto, who has been scheming from the shadows to manipulate people and events to his liking.
"Enter the Phoenix" by Jason Aaron, Javier Garron and Ed McGuinness goes on sale in the pages of Avengers in December.
