You won't be in need of microscopes to spot the titular superheroes of Marvel's Ant-Man and the Wasp this time: a new dynamic poster for the upcoming film starring Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly has just been released, and it showcases the heroes in a shot familiar to comic book fans.
The poster, which was spotted plastered over a giant wall during CinemaCon, features both Scott Lang and Hope Pym in regular size, shrinking down to their insect-sized state in a single image.
This shrinking effect was made famous in the comic books, the multitude of shots of the characters appearing smaller and smaller conveying the rapid transformation to a microscopic size.
This is an effect that was even given a nod in the first Ant-Man film, where fans can quickly spot, only for a second, the outline of Scott Lang in a multitude of shrinking sizes whenever he transforms into Ant-Man. Now, with Wasp going through the same transformation thanks to the Pym Particles, viewers will be in for quite the dynamic team-up.
Directed by Peyton Reed, Ant-Man and The Wasp stars Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Peña, Tip “T.I.” Harris, Judy Greer, David Dastmalchian, Michael Douglas, Michelle Pfeiffer, Laurence Fishburne, Hannah John-Kamen, Randall Park and Walton Goggins. The film opens July 6.
