A rumor posted on social media this week suggests the first trailer for the upcoming Disney+ series Moon Knight will debut during the Super Bowl LVI broadcast next month."#MoonKnight has been set for release on March 30th. Trailer likely at the Super Bowl," The Illuminerdi's Brandon Matthews wrote on Twitter. When asked by a follower why Disney had yet to comment on the timeline, Matthews insisted, "This is solid."RELATED: Moon Knight Crew Member Merch Reveals New Logo Art

Matthews' latest claim comes nearly a month after he first teased Moon Knight was set to premiere in late March. Matthews also shared in a separate tweet on Jan. 14 that the series will "likely have a 2-episode premiere."

While Disney+ has yet to confirm any of these details, the platform did debut the first look at the upcoming Marvel Studios series back in November. Posted on Disney+, the clip showed Oscar Isaac's Marc Spector -- a vigilante with disassociative identity disorder -- explaining he can no longer tell the difference between real life and his dreams. The teaser then cuts to a shot of Isaac in full costume, beating someone up in a public restroom before jumping from one rooftop to another.

Marvel Studios' Moon Knight was officially confirmed at D23 in 2019, with Isaac joining the series in the lead role in 2020. "Speaking with Kevin [Feige], I told him I'm going to come in with these big ideas, and if you don't like them, that's fair," Isaac said in October about his decision to join the series. "And immediately, we saw it all. I found so much room to do things that I've never done before and had been curious about and wanting to do."

It was previously confirmed Moon Knight will also star May Calamawy and Ethan Hawke, with additional rumors suggesting Mahershala Ali's Eric Brooks/Blade and Mark Ruffalo's Bruce Banner/Hulk may make cameos. While Ali hasn't commented on the rumors, Ruffalo shared a cryptic tweet in November that read, "As the person who's responsible for this next phase of the MCU, I would hate to spoil something. I have learned the hard way."

Marvel also allegedly tapped George Clooney to direct an episode of Moon Knight. Clooney is best known among comic book fans for his divisive portrayal of Bruce Wayne/Batman in the 1997 film Batman & Robin. The two-time Oscar winner previously worked with Isaac on the 2017 film Suburbicon.

Created by Jeremy Slater, Moon Knight will run for six episodes when it premieres exclusively on Disney+ in 2022. Super Bowl LVI is scheduled to air on Feb. 13 on NBC.
