Marvel's animated M.O.D.O.K show is teasing a "special announcement" after its virtual New York Comic Con panel.The show posted a new graphic on Twitter, featuring its voice cast and a reminder of the announcement. It is one of four panels that Marvel has planned for the virtual NYCC Metaverse event. M.O.D.O.K. will be the first adult-oriented series from Marvel Animation and stars Patton Oswalt as the titular villain. M.O.D.O.K originally was planned for a slate of Hulu shows, including Howard the Duck and Hit-Monkey, though those plans fell through. Oswalt also serves as an executive producer on the series and will be writing a comic miniseries titled M.O.D.O.K: Head Games with co-showrunner Jordan Blum.

In Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K., the megalomaniacal supervillain M.O.D.O.K. (Oswalt) has long pursued his dream of one day conquering the world. But after years of setbacks and failures fighting the Earth’s mightiest heroes, M.O.D.O.K. has run his evil organization A.I.M. into the ground. Ousted as A.I.M.’s leader, while also dealing with his crumbling marriage and family life, the Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing is set to confront his greatest challenge yet: a midlife crisis!

M.O.D.O.K. stars Patton Oswalt as M.O.D.O.K., Aimee Garcia as Jodie, Ben Schwartz as Lou, Melissa Fumero as Melissa, Wendi McLendon-Covey as Monica Rappaccini, Beck Bennett as Austin Van Der Sleet, Jon Daly as Super Adaptoid and Sam Richardson as Gary. The series has yet to receive a premiere date.
