Marvel's God of Thunder Removes Her Helmet for Death of Thor Finale

Jason Aaron and Russell Dauterman's Mighty Thor title is hurtling towards "The Death of Thor." In the comic, Jane Foster has been battling her cancer for years now -- and this may be the arc that does her in. The solicits for the March 2018 issue of Mighty Thor say that her death is "here at last," and a variant cover by artist Jee Hyung has provided us with a look at her sans helmet.

32 PGS./Rated T+ …$3.99

Since taking over as the Goddess of Thunder, Jane Foster's Thor has almost never been seen without her helmet. Though she did remove her helmet in Avengers #8 by Jeremy Whitley and Phil Noto, she has always worn it in her solo comics. Since Aaron and Dauterman have never shown her without it, even in a variant cover, this is quite significant.
