Marvel will be looking to capitalize on the release of the Captain Marvel movie next March with a new series by writer Robbie Thompson (Spider-Man/Deadpool) and artist Niko Henrichon (Pride of Baghdad) called Meet the Skrulls.
The publisher made the initial tease with an image of a typical American family by artist Marcos Martin on Twitter titled, "Meet the Warners," only to update the post to a GIF. The updated post reads, "Meet the Skrulls," now animated to show the family is indeed Skrulls in hiding.

What's notable is that in the image, the parents and what seems to be an elder daughter are down with being Skrulls in, but the youngest daughter seems terrified.

It remains to be seen how the alien family plans to blend into society, but as it stands, fans are wondering if this could be a sequel to 2008's Secret Invasion, which saw many Marvel heroes and villains replaced by the shape-shifters as part of a universal takeover. Or, it could just be a tie-in to build buzz for Brie Larson as Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel, as she and her Kree brethren try to stop the Skrulls on their cosmic conquests.
Meet the Skrulls, by Robbie Thompson and Niko Henrichon, goes on sale March 2019 from Marvel Comics.
