Bradley Parker, VFX supervisor for the upcoming Loki series, opened up about his work on the project.

Parker was predictably tight-lipped about specific details but boasted that the series' VFX would "defy expectations" when speaking with Comic Book Movie. "We’re working furiously to make this thing as great as possible, and I think people are going to be thrilled when they see it," Parker said.

A director in his own right best known for The Chernobyl Diaries, Parker spoke about the Marvel show while promoting his new film, The Devil Below. When pressed further, Parker discussed how the scale and budget made Loki, "a completely different creative exercise" from his previous work. "The appetite for visuals is on such a bigger scale in the visual effects aspect of things, so it’s challenging in its own right!"

Based on Norse mythology, Loki's moral ambiguity and mixed allegiances make him one of the most complex characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It was a long journey for this unique and dynamic character, from villain to anti-hero to star of his own series. Loki is one of several Disney+ series that are part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Others include the recent hit WandaVision and the upcoming The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

Loki stars Tom Hiddleston, Owen Wilson, Sophia Di Martino, Sasha Lane, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Wunmi Mosaku and Richard E. Grant. The series arrives Friday, June 11 on Disney+.
