When Amadeus Cho makes his Marvel Legacy debut, he might still be totally awesome, but he'll be even more incredible. The young, gamma-irradiated hero will honor the legacy (appropriately enough) of his predecessor in the pages of Incredible Hulk #709.

While we've known that Cho will be taking a page from Bruce Banner's book by kicking off his Legacy era with "Return to Planet Hulk," we now have a better idea of what the creative team of Greg Pak and Greg Land have planned when Cho's Hulk lands on the planet Sakaar.

In an interview on ComicBook.com, Pak described the first "Planet Hulk" (which he also wrote) as "the story of a monster becoming a hero." Cho, however, already sees himself as a hero -- or does he? The events of the current Secret Empire series and the upcoming Generations storyline may leave Amadeus a changed Hulk.

"[W]e'll see if that's still his same state of mind as he enters this story -- and we'll see if that kind of happy warrior Hulk even has what it takes to save the world on Planet Sakaar," Pak teased. "I don't want to spoil too much, but I will say that this storyline raises the stakes enormously and brings a bunch of the big themes we've been working on with Amadeus's story to a head. The story absolutely takes Amadeus's story to the next level in a huge, fun, and possibly shocking way."

As for whether "Return to Planet Hulk" might follow in the footsteps of its predecessor and lead to a "World War Hulk II" story arc, Pak played it coy. "We'll all have to buy and read every dang issue to find out, won't we?"
