Marvel's The Rise of Kylo Ren miniseries by Charles Soule and Will Sliney has released the covers for its second issue. Drawn by Clayton Crain, the main cover finds Luke Skywaker and his nephew Ben Solo fighting the Knights of Ren. The variant cover by Jodie Muir transitions Ben Solo to Kylo Ren in a portrait styled like a Greek mask, showcasing the character's corruption.
Five Knights are depicted in the main cover. The one wearing a smooth, glistening helmet has never been seen before in any official material. The solicitation indicates the scene is a flashback to Kylo Ren's formative years with Luke, where they ventured together into the Unknown Regions.
The Rise of Kylo Ren will elaborate on Ben Solo's dark metamorphosis into Kylo Ren, starting with the burning of Luke's Jedi Temple. Soule described Ben Solo as a tragic character, belonging to family that expected great things from him from the moment he was born. He aims to explore the reasons why he made certain choices, and a large part of that task included getting into the skin of the Knights of Ren, who he described as "not good people, but people."

The Rise of Kylo Ren #1 will release December 18, the same day as the premiere of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. The miniseries will run for four issues.
