Kang the Conqueror is about to meet his brand-new arch-rival in Marvel's new Timeless one-shot.
Timeless (2022) #1 is a new one-shot starring Kang the Conqueror releasing this December from Marvel. The publisher revealed new promotional images for the issue which tease the introduction of Myrddin, Kang's new arch-rival who will likely serve as a serious threat. "Is that why you haven't understood the main aspect of the Missing Moment?" mysterious text on the teaser image reads. "Of the Tribulation Events?"
Marvel also released a separate Timeless (2022) #1 teaser image highlighting a new team called the Twilight Court. "Who are the Twilight Court?" the text reads, meaning the team's alliances and function remain ambiguous for the time being.
What Is Timeless (2022)?
Timeless (2022) #1 comes from writer Jed Mackay and artists Salvador Larroca, Greg Land and Patch Zircher. The synopsis reads, "A SHOCKING LOOK AT THE MARVEL UNIVERSE TO COME IN 2023! The last battle of Kang the Conqueror! Tyrant of the timeline, master of endless legions, warrior and conqueror without compare, Kang is in search of the one thing he cannot have. But he is not the only one after the Missing Moment, and Kang soon finds himself in a new position—on the run across the events of the Marvel Universe’s future!"
"Kang is back on another adventure – but could this be his last one?" MacKay previously teased of Timeless (2022). "Once again, we step into the Conqueror's thigh-high boots to go stamping through the future. But this time Kang is in an unfamiliar position: fleeing. TIMELESS 2022 is bigger and better than ever before. More previews of what the Marvel Universe has in store, more action, and a story that sets up the dominoes for a huge story coming in the future that I'm really excited to see play out!"
Timeless (2022) #1 will be the second Timeless one-shot put out by Marvel. Kang also starred in 2021's Timeless #1, which came from Mackay, Land, Mark Bagley and Kev Walker. The one-shot introduced a number of new elements into the Marvel Universe, including the arrival of Miracleman, a new Black Panther and more.
Timeless (2022) #1 features cover art by Kael Ngu and variant cover art by Carmen Carnero, Alex Maleev, Terry Dodson and Todd Nauck. The one-shot releases Dec. 28 from Marvel Comics.
