While the Big Two were not initially part of Amazon and comiXology's Unlimited program when it debuted in 2016, Marvel has signed a deal to bring its comics to the service.

"This month marks the one year anniversary of the launch of comiXology Unlimited and it is thrilling to have Marvel Comics join us," comiXology CEO and co-founder David Steinberger told CBR exclusively. "There's never been a better way to discover amazing comics you’ll love. With over 10,000 titles now available on comiXology Unlimited, readers can freely dive into any type of comics they might enjoy!"

It's not yet clear what, if anything, this means for Marvel Unlimited. Marvel's in-house digital service tends to feature comics that are a bit older, with a six-month delay between the comic's initial publication and appearance on Marvel Unlimited being typical. Several of the comics announced for comiXology Unlimited are much newer than that six-month wait. How this will affect Marvel Unlimited going forward remains to be seen.
