Marvel's Executive Editor and Senior Vice President of Publishing, Tom Brevoort, has posted a pair of unused Sensational She-Hulk covers by artist John Byrne. Both covers, in following with Byrne's iconic take on the series, place Jennifer Walters in an unusual situation. The first cover, for Sensational She-Hulk #11, depicts Jennifer in a tuxedo facing off against a mysterious caped figure. The second cover, for #9, showcases a robotic figure sitting in a jail cell protesting his innocence while Jennifer looks on. It also has subtitle, "Who Framed Roger Robot?", a clever nod to the beloved animated film Who Framed Roger Rabbit?RELATED: Sensational She-Hulk Makes Fun of A Comic Creator's Hobby

Byrne started writing Sensational She-Hulk in 1989, after coming off a two year run on Superman at DC Comics. His run on the title was best known for having Jennifer constantly break the fourth wall, poking fun at the conventions of comics themselves. Byrne left the title after the first eight issues due to an editorial dispute. He would return under a new editor to do issues #31-50.

Created by Stan Lee and John Buscema, Jennifer Walters first appeared in Savage She-Hulk #1, where she gained Hulk-like powers after a blood transfusion from her cousin Bruce Banner, better known as the Incredible Hulk. A She-Hulk television series is currently in development for Disney+.

Developed for television by Jessica Gao (Rick and Morty), She-Hulk is slated to premiere exclusively on Disney+. No release date or cast has been announced at this time.
