Marvel Entertainment Executive Vice President/Creative Director Joe Quesada has shared his thoughts on the departure of DC Co-Publisher Dan DiDio."While the world of comics likes to look at things in terms of heroes and villains, that’s far from reality," Quesada tweeted. "I’ve known Dan Didio years before he was at DC. We lived in different universes and competed for more years than I can remember, he’s a good guy and has been a staunch advocate for our medium for nearly two decades. I want to personally wish him the best and look forward to all his future endeavors and successes."

Last week, news of DiDio's departure surfaced online, and while CBR was able to independently confirm these reports, DC has yet to comment publicly on the matter.

DiDio became Vice President, Editorial, at DC in 2002 before later getting promoted to Vice President, Executive Editor. In 2010, he became co-publisher alongside artist Jim Lee, where he was instrumental in the company's New 52 reboot and Rebirth initiative.

Outside of his editorial work, DiDio also wrote O.M.A.C., Superboy and several other series. Currently, he's writing Metal Men for DC with artist Shane Davis. Although five of the 12 issues have already been released, it's unclear how DiDio's departure will affect the remaining seven issues.
